Good work Seb. Next year, he'll have the Italian flag burnt into his eyes from the Ferrari's rear wing

Q: (Frederic Ferret - L’Equipe) Fernando, now Seb is the youngest two time World Champion; you’ve lost that title. What does it mean to you now?
FA: Really nothing special. I think now we will see who is the youngest three time World Champion.
Love it, Alonso charged as ever

i also have this feeling that he'll also be lost in Alonso's dust, as he'll see the back of the F2012 for majority of the season..and who knows, he may even be lost in Massa's dust too....

Congratulations to Sebastian Vettel and Red Bull racing.
A well deserved title, from a driver that will make it hard for others in the years to come.
Looking forward to see his progress.

    Big Congratulations Sebastian

A near perfect season with minimal driving & team mistakes - coupled with an incredible car....but to me it's more than just the car. I feel that the driver has to get the car to the flag with his skill...i also felt that with the very impressive JB in '09 as a recent example... that combination of raw pace & racecraft .... knowing when to be aggressive in qualifying & overtaking in races ..... & when to consolidate. Plus also the perfomance relative to the team-mate is of course a factor.

For me, Alonso is the benchmark as the best/most complete driver out there but Vettel has become a very very good all-rounder aswell. Since his 1st WDC he is now very impressive. Pretty intelligent in & out of the car & A nice guy as a bonus, but underneath that is a very steely, determined, hungry driver with a potentially record-breaking future ahead. Hopefully he comes to Ferrari in a few seasons time, with even more experience & i guess it will be after he feels he's given Dietrich Mateshitz enough loyalty & payback for his investment in him to then move on to a proper team!

Amen to all this, but I want to add he has stayed level headed in all of this, never ever do you see him showing he is the greatest out there. Not like one Mr. LH now. Let us just hope we never see that side of him . Oh Alonso is also a 2 times WC and is just the same as he always was, no Mr. pushy or showoff guy either .

Yeah, absolutely. I was too busy potificating earlier about all the other great things about Seb that I forgot to add an additional brainfart to the post above about Sebs' admireable humilty & level-headedness (just like Fernando too). It's a great strength as a sportsman

BRAWN: "What will come now, which will be an interesting phase of Sebastian's career, will be when he has not got the best car." #F1 - got that from twitter
Michael Schumacher - the best there was, the best there is, and the best there ever will be!

To be fair, he won his first race in a car that was far from the best. Will be interesting to see how will he cope when someone makes a car that is equally as good as the RB.
