tbh he has got a point. some twitter guys are BS.
anyways, i'm afraid i dont know how to work twitter that well, and the tweets are in spanish. but this guy mentions it early august, while the Italian sites start picking up the story around September Italian GP time.
and the link is to his twitter. http://twitter.com/#!/Truzonef1It is rumored that Ferrari could announce at Monza which # Rory Byrne will assume the direct advice in the design Department

I never said I believe or don't believe that twitter, was only asking for some things they have got right, very little followers for someone that breaks info I thought![]()

Totus Tuus
1. Rory has a more active role in the design of the 2012 car than led on by Ferrari
2. They have recovered more than 20% of the downforce lost due to the ban on the EBD.
3. The launch specification will be almost entirely new.
4. They have analysed the latest version of the front wing and they have a rough idea of what caused the fluttering.
5. The latest changes to the design of the 2012 car indicate an increase in performance of close to half a second. (This is linked to point 2)
"That has made me fall in love with Ferrari even more today than ever." Fernando Alonso
yep. i hope that Rory will recover the other 80%. i remember preseason, Aldo Costa resigning the fact that the cars were going to be slower because the DDD had gone. then Rb and McLaren came and beat their 2010 Q times in Aus.
i hope they can make even more downforce from this year by finding some loophole. but i have faith, they seem to know what they are doing, and the fact that everyone else was laughing at them in India with the wing makes me even more happy. count Ferrari out at your peril :twisted

Exactly but why stop there let's go for 120%. To stop Redbull we need to think even bigger because I'm sure everything we are doing they are probably a step ahead of that so I just hope we don't let ourselfs into that "It can't be done" attitude like Costa who said it was impossible for this years cars to be faster then lasts years DDD cars and then getting a big slap across the face come Australia. That was a huge mistake from what I've heard is a well respected man.

Not true, you have to factor in that a good chunk of Red Bull's current performance comes from their EBD which will be banned as of next year. If you remove that variable, ceteris paribus, then things are pretty even between Red Bull and Ferrari as witnessed at Silverstone.
The ban on the EBD means that Red Bull will also have to recover the lost performance to the value of 0.5/0.4 seconds to start on an equal footing with Ferrari if these rumours are true.
I know is a very simplistic view to take but the ban in the EBD can't come soon enough as I honestly believe that it is the only thing holding Ferrari back at present.
They actually hid Rory in the car during the GP and he manually blows air from his lung onto the diffuser to increase downforce in the corners.
i think redbull will not be the team to beat next year,it will be Ferrari vs Mclaren old school baby
when was the last time that Adrian Newey build a car that was good for four years in a row?
never!!!
he usualy build's a car that is fantastic for 2-3 years tops and then he builds a car that realy sucks for 2-3 years
since the rb5,6.7 were good i expect the rb8 to suck

I'm hoping this means that Byrne added .5 sec to the new car, which has already been stated to be better, quicker and more innovative than the 150. So maybe hoping for a grand total of 1 - 1.2 sec of speed found?
