so more ballast then from lighter materials, what lighter materials are they using in the wing, and is the suspension weaker which explains the break for Felipe?
Forza Ferrari
so you think it was Felipes fault crashing into Ramilton?? even though Ramilton didnt have the corner, or wasnt level or ahead slightly before turn inAnd even Fernando would of broken the suspension if going over those orange kerbings. Doesnt matter who is driving the car, if the loads are too great for that part, it will break. Whether be with Fernando or Felipe
CAVALLINO RAMPANTE PER SEMPRE
Even the BBC commentators said MAS did not deserve that penalty but HAM DID! End of story...
Yeah I mean de la Rosa, the McLaren loyal cheating spy would off course blame anyone but Lewis.....
Forza Ferrari
they did, i was surprised by that.
CAVALLINO RAMPANTE PER SEMPRE
Excuses, excuses to say Massa is not guilty never of nothing. In Silverstone Hamilton deserved a penalty because he caused a avoidable collision, Massa today letting 1 meter between his car and Hamilton's had been enough. But he didnt do it. Canada: wet track. Braking with wet track is, by far, more difficult and unpredictable. And from that collision Button's car was ok, and he could win that race. Alonso had a penalty: he was out of race.
If Felipe was running a harder setup then maybe..but Alonso himself said they have a similar driving style wich means the setup will be more or less be the same...
I think Felipe is running a different wing then Alonso, maybe not in appearance but in material...they allready did it last race with Alonso so maybe it was Massa turn to test the new component in the race..
About the move it was cleary the fault of Hamilton, he went off line on the dirty side, this is also the reason why he had to brake earlier he knew this but he still went for it. Hamilton is verry impatient and agressive, when it works you get "awesome" overtaking but thats only because most drivers dont want to be taken out off the race, but this really isnt the way its just like a bully if you stand up to him he crumbles..same for Hamilton, Alonso cant afford doing this because he will be looked upon as the bad guy...remember 2008 or 2009 when Hamilton crashed into the back of Alonso and they all said it was Alonso fault.... Well now the same is happening to Felipe they are now tryng to turn the card and make him look as the bad guy... But thats what you got to love about Felipe he is a brazilian jinjutsu fighter he doesnt let go...especially when he knows hes right
Veni Vidi Vici e Vici Vici Vici.... Ferrari F2012 WDC WCC Champion
Seriously, I dislike Hamilton as much as many of you do, but in this case, Massa should have give enough space for both cars, and he didn't. IMO, the penalty is bitter, but OK.
Both HAM and MAS are having a bad, bad year as far as the championship goes. This could be the first year since the eighties-something that a Ferrari driver does not make at least one podium during a year...
Lewis Hamilton and Felipe Massa's team bosses say they will not interfere in the ongoing situation between the two drivers, despite yet another collision in the Indian Grand Prix.
With the duo having already been involved in five incidents this year, Massa and Hamilton came to blows again at the Buddh International Circuit as they battled for position - with the Brazilian being handed a drive-through penalty for his part in the crash.
The history between the two drivers has prompted fears of the rivalry getting out of control, but McLaren team principal Martin Whitmarsh and Ferrari chief Stefano Domenicali have insisted that they do not need to get involved to stop matters escalating further.
Whitmarsh said: "They're young drivers but they're not that young. They're men They've got to figure it out for themselves. It would be nice if we got a situation where they're not drawn together magnetically on the circuit and we didn't have those incidents.
"I have discussed it with Ferrari but I think it's got to come from in them. This is not the time. If I arranged for the two of them to shake hands outside the garage to shake hands you would all take a picture and have a laugh about it.
"They have to sort that out between themselves. I think underneath it all they've got a certain amount of respect but it's one of those years where they've been coming together too frequently. I think Felipe is under enormous pressure within that team and that causes him to react.
"In truth Lewis will be feeling under pressure because of the great performance of Jenson at the moment. They are both young quick drivers and hopefully they will remain stars of Formula 1 for many years. They're going to be around racing each other for many years so they've got to sort it out themselves.
"But a staged handshake? A conciliatory gesture outside the garage at the next Grand Prix? You don't want that, unless it's to take the Mickey out of it. They've got to sort themselves out."
Domenicali added: "We can sit down together and play cards but it will not solve the issue. One thing that is crucial in my view is that we need to make sure there is a coherent approach from the stewards about things that happen on the track. There is a lot of discussion about that.
"We cannot avoid the fact there were a lot of kisses between them on the track. We cannot have these things being bigger than they are because they will be on the mind of the drivers which is not good. It will be solved by what I said before and a little bit of time."
When asked about Hamilton's attempt to settle matters with Massa before the race by putting him arm around him, which he claims was snubbed, Domenicali said: "You will recall that Felipe went to see him in Singapore, and Lewis decided to do other stuff.
"Felipe showed that he wanted to speak with him. That's a fact. But we need to overcome this issue and solve it because it is not good for anyone."
When asked about his view on the incident between Massa and Hamilton, Domenicali said: "As you know I always say that I respect the decision of the referee but I was surprised when I saw that decision.
"When I saw that Felipe was in front at the apex of the corner our reasoning was that he had the line to get the corner. I felt surprised. You may have a different opinion but it is what I feel."

Lewis had gotten inside Massa, but Massa out braked him and regained the line. Lewis had the option of getting on the brakes. Yes Felipe could have avoided it by simply giving up the position, but he doesn't have to. It's up to the driver making the pass to do it cleanly. Massa had every right to turn in as he did. He doesn't have to run wide and cede the position to Lewis who never had it.
Don't play dumb with me. I'm better at it than you are.
I think its pretty obvious by now that both Lewis and Massa have the tendency to race each other harder than they do with other drivers. Of course its hard to tell whats really going on between both of them, but we've seen Lewis and Massa raced other drivers and no any bad incident came out of it.
Just in Korea, I thought Lewis racing against Webber was hard but fair racing between them both, I thought Lewis had somehow changed, wow. But here again we're seeing the same old thing. Its like between himself and Massa, they both tend of really have a go at each other.
Agree
Again it's a bit of dammed if you do dammed if you don't or catch 22 situation!
If Felipe had given way you can bet your bottom dollar that all of his detractors on this forum and others would have castigated him as being far too soft and not driving aggressively!!!![]()

Watched it a few times and I don't think Lewis was ever going to make that corner, he was offline in the dust and had no option of backing out of it as he could not stop, therefore he was the one making the risky move IMO.
Would still love to hear from Herbert and his reasons for the penalty.
Forza Ferrari
I agree why did herbert give felipe a penalty.
Is he on twitter?
Forza Ferrari
It was a political penalty and nothing else, nothing to do with the racing which is in a way very F1 like.
But once again Ramilton gets away with it and it is definitely getting on my nerves...
"I cannot judge what he did in his time at Renault and McLaren but I have worked with World Champions Schumacher, Villeneuve and Raikkonen and Fernando is the one who impresses me the most," said Gene.
Find him Greg and make him tell us all here why that drive through was called ? we all would like to know. !!!
"Michael showed that he is the greatest. He stole the show today. And he did that without even winning the race." comments from Willi Weber

Well I am glad Stefano pointed that out because I thought I was the only one who remembered that! I imagine Felipe perhaps took that to heart a wee bit back in Singapore that Lewis wouldn't try to sort things out. It sickens me that Lewis is now acting like the injured party and acting as if Felipe is the one in the wrong.
Regarding today's incident, I'm honestly not sure who was at fault but I would ask - what on earth did Lewis THINK was going to happen when he made that move?
Not surprised at all to see the usual suspects slagging Felipe off in this thread. Yes, yes, Alonso is better, Felipe hasn't gotten a podium etc etc etc; not to mention reminding us all of what the points tallies are in their signatures (thanks for that).
Having said all that, I do think Stefano and Martin do need to tell the pair of them to get this sorted out once and for all. We've seen in the past week or so what can happen in our sport and it's senseless holding grudges.
