Sauber looks to be the car they will use, or as close as possible, then again, they never really had innovations of note.

its pretty high up, it is right underneath the Renault thing, near the suspension arm.

    EDIT: Beaten to it

    This one is better.

Scuderiafan, how do you upload it here without getting an error message? Thanks.

you might know this already, but right-click on the image you want, and click properties on Internet Explorer and copy the address, or Copy image address on Safari, and thats the URL you need to use the upload image button, which is the one on the left of the video film reel one. pick the 'from URL option' then just paste the address into the URL, and viola. hope that helps.

Wouldn't surprise me if the RB duct is just mind games from RB to get other teams to spend time and resources on figuring out what it is.

I'd like to see a comparison of the rear suspension geometry, preferably from a birds eye view. Want to see how Ferrari's rear pull-rod compares to its rivals.

the hole in the nose we ran in '08, was banned after that year. When the new aero rules came in for 2009. By look of it, its the vent for cooling the driver.

Just because Newey designed it, it doenst have to be some superduper aero gaining vent.

I see nothing revolutionary about the Red Bull front end and steped area. No real big gain to be had with the Red Bull Cut out. Please remember that ALL of the cars we are seeing are just for public viewing at this time and not the full race versions. Many parts will change including the front nose treatment on many cars. People should not make such strong opinions of the race cars at this time.

    Ciao.

    Forza Ferrari!!!

This ! As I've been saying, by Melbourne the cars will be 50 % changed from these 1st versions imho. In Barcelona we'll see closer to the GP versions cars because this track is one of the best ones that gives aerodynamic data.

How is the RB8, as Marko puts it, "not as ugly as the Ferrari"?

You can be sure that the Ferrari engineers are testing (or already tested) the duct idea.

Because he likes his own team's blue yellow and the bull more than Ferrari red

I have a feeling that the RB duct is used for cool and blowing of the rear beams. Basically my theory is that the air enters the duct, goes round the driver, cools KERs and is then further heated by the engine which accelerates it further to have a greater effect on the beams on the back.

yeah the launch is on 21st (pancake day) but tomorrow's a Shakedown, so they can use the first day of testing as a full test day, rather than just shake down/systems check in the morning and waste a day, as they're 1 test week behind.
