He 's miles away from being as talented as Fernando. He knows not to come to Ferrari while nando still in charge or he will lose his credibility like every partner Nando's had in the past (except for one but in another team he would not have happened)...

"I cannot judge what he did in his time at Renault and McLaren but I have worked with World Champions Schumacher, Villeneuve and Raikkonen and Fernando is the one who impresses me the most," said Gene.

The only question I have is if our car will be miles away from being as quick as the Red Bull car? If not then forget Vettel. Yea they had the favorite car, driver wise, we is in charge.

Did you only read the title? If you read the full article I can’t see how he is arrogant

(Aside from the fact I don't think he was being arrogant, just answering the question.) Does anyone else hate how drivers are almost forced to play themselves down? And fed a way they have to talk to people? I mean Lewis may have made himself look like a plank after Monaco last year with what he said but it was great because for once you actually saw a drivers honest feelings which is much more entertaining and valuable to listen to for me. I'd rather listen to arrogance and honesty than the same PR spiel over and over again by every driver. Rant over.

He's 100% right. Besides he didn't go on and gloat, he just stated facts. Besides he didn't say "im the outright favorite" he said "yes" to a question given to him. People need to stop reading into crappy journalism, or looking for reasons to dislike competitors.

Not only cofidfence and humility, but maturity as well.

On a side note, anyone that has a problem with a little arogance in sport has clearly never been involved in any sort of high level sporting activity. Simplly put, if you didn't think you were the best you probably wouldn't be there.

I don't like Vettel anyway but in that case he is simply saying it how it is. Lets spare the bashing for Hamilton- i'm sure we are going to find enough reasons

Mmm, after reading yor comments forst and then the first post in this treads I must say he is'nt that arrogant to me and I don't favour him by a mile so maybe less hate and more sport here can't do a little harm.

Wow, I never thought me choosing the word "arrogance" would stir up so much controversy on the forum. I see many of you have a soft spot for Vettel here. Would it have been Hamilton, I'm sure all your opinions would have been very different.

Anyways, don't throw me under the bus, I just thought it would be an interesting article to post to our forum.

They nearly snatched the title from Brawn in 2009 and since then have had the dominant car!!!!!! So I agree Vettel is justified in what he said.
They will be hard to beat unfortunately in 2012.

I don't care if he's arrogant or not. If what he said is truth then we're in trouble.

    I completely agree,
He has been champion two years in a row.
He just drove a brilliant 2011 in the best car, will probably have one of best cars (or 'the' best) in 2012, why shouldn't he be confident in a good year?
And all that at only 24 years old, remember Schumacher in 2002 was 33 years old, that was why he was less exultant and more mature in his interviews.

huh? He said multiple times that he wants to drive for Ferrari. I think if Ferrari offered him a contract he wouldn't reject it I think.

according to Vettel Ferrari is his alltime favorite team and he said this while driving for Red Bull unlike Alonso whose favorite team is McLaren.

I doubt McLaren is a favourite for Alonso any more, but what does it matter. Our most successful driver was not a Ferrari fan when he joined....
