89 min: Oversteer is the word of the day at Ferrari, with Alonso controlling his latest lurid slide through the fast Turn 3.

I found this on autosport live feed.

New rear wing, front wing, new diffusor, new side-pods, floor. What is actually NOT new?

So you are suggesting that all the others did laps on heavy fuel like us (you said) so we are 1.2 off the pace.

No. You said, that NOW is the time. I was sayin, that NOW it's not the time. Why? Because after a few quickish laps at the begining of the P2 teams are focusing on high fuel runs. Thats how it is every second practice.

    huh?

I'm no expert but what worries me is that I can't see any "big" updates on a car. I can't see anything new actually. All those small tweaks have been present in Mugello already. So they said there will be "big" updates in Barca, but there aren't any. Is Canada a new deadline now?

Wow...The times at the start of P and the times at the end makes me think there
is a BIG change in the performance of these tires thruout the day. Everyone was quicker earlier in the day..except Ferrari.
The car looks not so good. Massa faster than Alonso..FA should be sacked. Mabey they SHOULD have simply built a new car..
    Couldnt be any worse.

Well, do you really believe while we set the best time in FP1 on hards, 3 hours later and on much better conditions we actually reached our best time with the softer tyres - 2 tenths worse than the time in FP1?

There is still something to celebrate today: the birthday (47) of Domenicali.
Tanti auguri caro Stefano e buona fortuna per domani!

Maybe we WERE lower on fuel compared to the rest during FP1 after all...

Sorry, but Formula 1 is all about "small tweaks" and it's so for several years.
Perhaps you wanted a brand new B-Car. Mistaken expectations.

I believe that we made the first real step in order to have a winning car.Fernando was saying all the time around that Ferrari like others has no magic button, and i believe him.
It's reasoneable to think that if all the updates worked, the car improved quite a lot.Enough already to fight for the front in qualifying?I don't think so.
In relation to the "twitchy car",it does not always means something.David coulthard speaking about the MP4-24(i think was 3 years ago)with Martin Brundle, said that the car looks quite easy to drive because there isn't enough downforce but isn't a dog either.I'm not telling that's always the case(bad cars are sometimes twitchy),but twitchy cars can be fast as hell(ask Jonny Herbert about the Benetton B195).Ferrari changed philosophy about their cars, searching for an oversteering car, surely more difficult to tune than an undesteering one from the past(F10,F150),but with way more potential.I wonder just about Gary Anderson and co.,speaking about the problems of the F2012.Nobody better than our stuff kwows where the problems are, without being in the wind tunnel or having the actual cfd you don't know nothing of that car,it's mere speculation, and if our FW looks underdeeveloped what about Red Bull??They are choosing our way by simplifing it.

Race pace is strong, which as kimi proved at Bahrain is far more important than being fast over one lap

I suppose we all did .... rather than the ill-handling slow thing that we've had so far!

Without gradual updates you will never know were the problems are and if the wind tunnel is working properly.B spec are always a desperate moves, and it takes ages to fix everything(Do you remember the F10???

That is exactly what i meant. Here is what i said at that moment.

Alonso did not even manage Fp1 time on the softs!!! Something's not right!
The car seemed to loose balance by turn 3 on the Softs.

    Thumbs up

we gotta cool down a bit... FP1 was not a blunder or it was a lap with low fuel.. conditions changed in FP2 and Ferrari according to times compared between massa and vettel were -0.203 on hard tyres.. now that we know Massa requires a good car.. m sure he has a stable one now and we have indeed made good progress.. In the final stint before it was called time in FP2.. Massa and Alonso were both on hards and inside the time set by Vettel on hards. There is no need to worry way so ever.. we have at least pulled down 5 to 6 tenths with tweaks and aero changes.. If these were not the significant upgrades they were talking about.. i wonder what more they have up their sleeve... FORZA FERRARI !!! btw, times were slow on softs because everybody were on heavily loaded and doing a long run to the flag... Now QUIT down playing our strategies... WE R THE BEST and we are gonna prove that with an EMPHATIC COMEBACK :)

Mate the softs have always been faster than the hards... Fuel loads are a mistery atm...
