those who expected pole positions from this years car anywhere including Monaco are tools :)
Nevertheless dont forget that just few grand prix earlier we werent sure if our both guys manage to come into Q2...
So this easy walk into Q3 is already sign that the car has improved...Giving a chance for rain tomorrow and knowing our race pace is usually good we could look good tomorrow...

Amazing lap from Schumacher. So good to see, almost emotional.

Shame for the ridiculous penalty costing him the pole though.

Not happy with P5/P7 but it's good to see Massa up there.

Track is getting faster all the time. Schumi set his time after the clock reach 0sec you see.

So its natural to wait as late as possible. But of course in Monaco, traffic is a big problem, its a gamble.

But did our drivers really suffer from traffic? Or the pace is just not there?

Already the talk of Stefano being the devil.. LOL. Some people..

I think maybe the team sent both drivers out on used SS's instead of the new ones. I think that was the strategy. Some of you act like points are awarded for Quali.

Everybody improved in Q3 except us, but both the Ferraris look much easier to drive now,and Massa has regained his confidence.

Why would we send them out on used tyres? what sort of strategy is that?

It's Monaco, points are pretty much decided in quali, a strategy not to have track position would be most bizarre to take.

I don't see any point in that, since we have to start with the tires we set the fastest time on, and then its probably on to the prime tires and drag out as long as possible. In Monaco, pitting early is not a good idea.

well in case u forgot,1of our cars was on the 1st row in the last race...!massa couldnt make it into q3 coz h faced traffic on his last flying lap in q2

atleast they could have sent 1 driver out to see what he could have managed !

sent both the drivers out so late n see where we ended up!

Well, this obviously isn't the optimum result we were hoping for, but being 5th and 7th isn't bad at all, especially when Button, Räikkönen and Vettel are behind. Let's hope for a good race! And congratulations to Michael also, a great lap.

Are you sure it was traffic?

I don't see any evidence to support that.

Maybe the pace just isn't there.

Why were they discussing on Twitter about how to use or not use the SS set for Q3? Saving the tyres for the race, that's what kind of strategy it is, if they did so. I would expect if they did, they felt it was best. Ferrari has shown they have a better grasp than most on these tyres. So I'll trust their decision. In recent years points were decided in Quali, but if you haven't noticed, this is recent years.

Really enjoyed qualifying today, a shame we couldn't have been a little higher up, also a shame for Schumi that he has the penalty. Excited for the race now!

I am seeing the good side in the half full glass. It's the first time we qualified comfortable in Q3 with both drivers, we are starting 5th and 7th, Alonso might even get 1 place at the start if lucky, the race is long and prone to unpredictable events with SC and lots of stuff and even maybe rain.

We can score good points tomorrow, and the fact that we're not so good in Monaco is not a bad think, I prefer to be better at all the other regular tracks than in Monaco.

Vettel is way behind and Alonso can emerge from tomorrow as leader but we must be care full with Hamilton which starts from a very good position.

vettel using the spanish move again...lol....
saw how that went for him....
i guess next time he is gonna stay in the pits on the jacks without tires in q3....not long before he thinks his brake discs have better grip than the pirellis!

Yes but not in Monaco, it is way too risky. Rosberg and Grosjean set their fastest times at the beginning of the session.
