oh boy massa is in trouble p12 is not good enough
Do you guys have a tyre info? I was mostly just listening (not watching) this practice so would be great if anyone could let me know, what tyres did the top drivers use for their fastest laps.![]()
IF YOU CAN DREAM IT, YOU CAN DO IT - ENZO FERRARI
I wish the F1 live timing would show the tire compound, lol
The new mclaren-style exhaust on massas car is quick but its causing some trouble obviously
Alonso used the new exhaust as well
Forza Ferrari
does alonso had set time using SS?why massa just doing 17 laps?problem?
We did not use SS and neither did McLaren, all the rest of the teams did run SS at the end.
The revised exhaust configuration looks quicker, but is it introducing any of the rear instability issues we had earlier?
thanks mate, appreciated!
No worries , got them. The good news is, we're not the slowest (at316.5kph) and pretty near the Macs and Mercs (318-320kph). The slowest are the RBR (~310kph) and Charles Pic who, in the unlikely event that they get ahead of us, would be babyhood on the straights :P

Ferrari seems easier to drive allready. From the on board cameras both Alonso and Massa are not fighting the car anymore.
Felipe is changing gear next to the ''Wall of champions'' and that shows he is trusting the car.
Still drizzling here...
Rest in Peace Leza, you were a true warrior...
come on massa, lets see what u got!!

Montreal, 8 June – The first practice session took place this morning for the 44th Canadian Grand Prix, the seventh round of the Formula 1 World Championship, with the race taking place this Sunday at the Gilles Villeneuve circuit. Quickest at the end of the session was Lewis Hamilton (1.15.564) in the McLaren, followed by Sebastian Vettel (1.15.682) in the Red Bull and Nico Rosberg (1.15.782) in the Mercedes. Fernando Alonso was fourth for Ferrari in a time of 1.15.842, while in the other F2012, Felipe Massa posted the twelfth fastest time in 1.16.619. The session was stopped for around fifteen minutes when Heikki Kovalainen crashed the Caterham in a session that also featured several appearances by famous Canadian fauna. Scuderia Ferrari had a busy programme, testing updates brought here for the Canadian event: Alonso and Massa ran two different exhaust configurations and used one set of Soft tyres each. In the second half, Felipe worked solely on aero measurements, while both men did some practice starts prior to the end of the session.

thanks guys!
Not worried about the practice time yet. We all remember what happened in Monaco. We were fast in FP1 but still no where near the front in qualifying.
Anyway FP2 is about to begin. Hopefully no rain.

Oh yes he should be worried
Hi everyone i'm very looking forward for this weekend, i've been asking myself why was there six different winners in six races, so i Came up with this opinion..(you's can correct me or tell me your opinions) it's very interesting meclaren is showing alot of pace at quali's and yet they only won one race, so i concluded after six races that the weather or temperature is affecting alot of these teams, accept not so much f2012 or not at all...the easies one's to tell are the lotus, the lotus car is very fast most likely the fastest car out there, and is one of the cars can match f2012 in race pace... but lotus problem that i've seen so far, is the problem we had last year with getting heat into the tyres, even redbulls got the same problem, but not as bad as lotus they both need very hot weather to become competitive(eg.bahrain where Vettel pole and went to win race, while 2 lotus came 2,3)... Meanwhile mercdes & mecleran problems they are the opposite, they are relying on cool temperatures for them in order to look after the tyres but not so much to meclaren, mercedes is the one that stood out the most to me, these guys properly the second fastest car out there(that pole of rosb at china was not a coincident, done it in cold temp and went to win the race) that's why with this rain cooling track down both merc & mecl look's very fast today...but look out for the f2012 we are very fast too. Then comes to us, the first 4 races was not so much to go on accept our race pace with full tanks was equal the leaders or the fastest out there. The wet weather race, i can say that the f2012 is the only one out there can win and none of other teams will come close unless wrong strategy, now comes in the 5,6 races with new specs, the f2012 is now officially with traction will be the car to beat, i wouldn't be surprise if Alonso get pole this weekend, if not he will win the race and even Massa will be on the podium, good luuck to the boys and thank you to the ferrari team for improving the car.
