The Horse Whisperer - Only Zorro is missing

The silly season, that point in the year when rumours start flying about who’s going where among the F1 drivers and indeed in other sports too, is currently approaching its peak. It’s to be expected that it is reaching great heights, which could have something to do with the torrid heat hitting Italy this week, or the incessant rain that’s still drenching the UK, as names start being bandied about, when it comes to who could be sitting alongside Fernando Alonso in the Ferrari garage in 2013.

In Maranello, no one is in a hurry to make any decisions and that’s for sure. Yesterday, one absolute certainty of the past few months was washed away, as we now know Webber is staying put. Now the most vociferous and qualified rumourmongers are taking it for granted that Felipe will be confirmed, these generally being the same voices that, not only had him down as being out of the running for 2013, but would have had us believe he would not even see out the season. Now coming into bloom are a whole list of possible and potential replacements, with a list of names from A to Z, something Ferrari is well used to. In truth, one letter, the “Z,” seems yet to be uncovered, or quite possibly it’s Zorro…unmasked.

Let's see here...the character Zorro is from California. Caterham test driver Alexander Rossi is from Auburn California. Ferrari's second driver for 2013 will in fact be Alexander Rossi. Write that down.

Probably Massa will be renewed for 1 year to keep the pressure on him and keep Ferrari's options open.

It'll be Casey Stoner. That's why he retires from MotoGP at the end of the season.
