It's quite obvious we don't have near the pace McLaren and Vettel have.
Success is simple. Do what's right, the right way, at the right time.

Glued on the track is certainly not a term we can use to describe the Ferrari today.

Hopefully its just a balance problem. But Ferrari does look like they have a lot of work to do tonight.

Ok,so he's a commentator...but i agree with Gene, the gap is simply too big....the only silver lining is that based on both FP sessions, only VET and HAM look capable of beating ALO in qualifying, and from P3 on the grid, anything can happen....

From Alonso's onboard the car looked handfull as hell... He did not have a confidence to "smash" the throttle pedal out of the corners.

    So far, so good.
At this track, if the same drivers are at the top in both practice 1 and 2, then that group will likely provide the podium, and so far the same drivers are at the top. And Alonso is in that group so far.

@Rob : We can win the race from any position, but it will require a lot of luck to win from any position lower than P1 given the pace gap....

Nobody's panicking mate, it actually normal FP that we have seen so many weekends earlier, we should maybe then admit that we wont have fastest car this season and that we should try to do salvaging and hope for big luck in next races, cos technically it doesnt look good and I'm afraid it wont be better any time this season...our car is bad designed and thats it...they did what they could in order to minimize the damage and they did great job but thats it...whole car concept was built on sidepod/exhaust idea that unfortunately never worked and there you go...F2012 wont be fastest/pole car this season but it doesnt mean Alonso doesnt have a chance in winning WDC...

The Ferrari does sadly look like a handful for both our drivers today. So far. Hopefully we can improve a bit.

We have always gone quicker in race than Practice and quali, so no need to worry. Plus, as DRS and the tyres spiced up Valencia, maybe same case this weekend. End of day, Fernando knows what he must do Sunday, now. If he knows a win is out of reach then he be setting up for podium. If a win does look possible in the race, we all know what he can do.

Well, massa was 1.37s off on softs,so you can argue that he actually did relatively better on the supersofts....but webber looked quite good there as well....
