This is a much wider track with run off areas you can go on to at the first corner, which is a slow simple corner. The start don't get any easier than that so there's no excuse for Grosjean to make the same mistake again.

Race pace wise Ferrari are going to be raping everyone's bum left right and centre. The Red Bulls will be ripped a new one tomorrow. That should add to their already impressive collection of holes. I can sense it, this time tomorrow we will be rejoicing in victory and our rivals will be quivering in their boots knowing that India will serve an even bigger bum whooping once our real updates are bolted on. It's coming home, the title is coming home!

Delightful imagery no doubt, but less chat about what may or may not be happening to people's bums please

he can still miss his braking point into turn 3 (Petrov did this last year and slammed into Schumacher, but it wasn't on the first lap).

Looking at the start from last year, Vettel, Webber and Alonso all managed to retain their positions from the dirty side of the grid. Alonso actually made a pretty good start from 6th but got boxed in behind Webber so couldn't gain any positions.

I don't think Horner and his bulls will be quite happy now.
Ferrari was close today, very close. And Ferrari knows, and we know, and Horner knows that Ferrari's qualifying is it's weakest point. Racepace is something else and much better.
They always say a race is not won in the first corner - but it's also not won in one qualifying lap.
Fernando, this time supported by Felipe, has every chance to win this one. He knows that .....and so does Vettel.
And fighting, really having to fight for a victory, is not Vettel's strongest point.
As far as the Lotusses are concerned, Kimi is much too experienced to do strange things in the first corner. The other one by now is afraid to hit the accelerator when the lights go out .
We will see an exciting race tomorrow......

After seeing quali I thought we still could have nailed it even more.............and now to another sleepless night until 5.30...............hopefully the Red Bullcraps are scared this time!!! Hopefully Alonso can tell Finger Boy where he can put that finger after the race, and hopefully Romain Crashjean stays out of our way!!!!

I have a feeling that FA can challenge Red Bull tomorrow for the win. It would be great for his title fight to score maximum 25 points and to for SV one big fat bold DNF

He can definitely challenge, especially if Webber's start is poor which it frequently is.

Webber's starts have been decent since Monaco (Suzuka was the exception).

Tomorrow we will have the best go at each other in an attempt to steal a march in the championship battle. I think the timing of the first pit stop will be crucial, it will either destroy or make someone's race. Ferrari must use their low tyre degradation to their advantage and that means to prolong their first stint on the super softs. I can see a 2 stop race developing as it seems like the ideal strategy. However with Pirelli mentioning that a 1 stop could also work, I can see Ferrari planning a 1 stop strategy with Massa in order to hinder the likes of Red Bull if they are too far ahead.
Overtaking wise, despite the two long straights I still think it is going to be difficult. Overtaking cars on the first lap will prove to be very beneficial since it will help the strategists a whole deal in regard to planning pit stops. I have faith in in the team to perform well and last years performance at Korea leaves me feeling slgihtly optimistic for the race.
I hope for a good race tomorrow and expect some surprises from the team in red.

A one stop strat for either Alonso or Filipe is a non runner as both will have to do the first stint on the super soft tyres with full fuel loads.

The same applies to all the top 10 starters.

Definitely a 2 stopper for the championship contenders tomorrow.

One thing is sure: Fernando will go for the win, it's the only way to go now.

Maybe we need to stop after those who stay in front of us, but taking the more possible time, in order to warm the tyres fast as we can.

Would you not settle for a second place, do or die racing so then.

Hey, everyone.. good quali from Alonso & Massa, hope for a clean start the two redbulls will have a huge fight on there hands to defend there positions. I've noticed on the last race that redbull has gained back some life 4 there tyre's, but they still degrade faster than ferrari f2012, Mecca are even ahead on us now on tyre's. If the weather is hot or not 2 stoppers will be the best for our boy's. Alonso will need to attack the two bulls at the start go, in order to get away, Lewis and the 2 lotus and not forgetting the saubers will be his main competition if weather is hot. Attack at the start and than first one in for the pit stop of the main leaders, no matter what he needs to stop first 1 or 2 laps earlier than the other's for the soft tyres, because watching practice Friday every team with ss tyre's was loosing a huge amount of time. This will be the other option for him to overtake his opponents if he can't on track and it's very effective, has been continuesly been proven from the last few races. Hope for a good race and win from Alonso and Massa.
