No, of course it's not legal. The rules clearly state that the driver is not allowed to be off the track with all 4 wheels if he gains an unfair advantage. But this probably won't change anything anyway.

For sure will not change anything, but it isnt fair as if it was anyone else, the Stewards would be all over them.

You guys have Ferrari's? Cool. My cujino had a 67 330 I think it was...Loved it..Back in those days they werent worth what they r now. He blew the clutch every few weeks, but he did enjoy it!
And Kimi sharing his ice cream with Newey talking about how aero dynamically efficient the cone is

Wow, that 330 will be a dream drive for sure today

Good spot... isn't all 4 wheels on track thingy a must...

No action was taken here so don't expect too much from the stewards. They need to be consistent.

this is utter nonsense!!!ferrari really need to take this thing up with the FIA....it has happened thrice now!!!SD really needs to wake up!remember how horner went to the stewards after the german quali saying that alonso gained an advantage at the last corner by going off track on his pole lap??

Yes, and they didn't do anything then either. While it would be nice to see Horner hoisted by his own petard, this is an area the officials need to stay away from.

Don't play dumb with me. I'm better at it than you are.

i know they didnt do anything that time either, but they had a reasonable explanation for not penalising alonso back then.....!they said alonso might have gone off track on his last q3 lap,but his previous lap was also good enough for pole,so there was no question of penalising him.....!not the same case with vettel....

btw even if the stewards dont penalise him,he atleast deserves a warning....he's taking liberties again n again coz of the leniency shown by the stewards!

If it hasn't been mentioned already, Red Bull are among the slowest in the speed trap DESPITE DDRS. This means if Hamilton gets a good start and jumps a poor starting Webber, he has a decent chance of passing Vettel on the straight. Even if he doesn't do this, he still has a chance of being quicker on race pace, given that Red Bull wont have DDRS helping them every lap.

Saw P3 results and didn't bother watching qualy. Read Fernando and Lewis's comments about the race tomorrow so looking forward to some aggressive racing.

Why does anyone have to go to the FIA???? Shouldn't the FIA just enfoce the rules and act on this???? I am losing my interest in this sport!!!!! I don't know how much longer I will follow F1 racing. It seems like it is a sport built on Red Bull Money now!

    Ciao.

    Forza Ferrari!!!!

Yeah it's getting quite annoying. In the middle part of the season they seemed to be getting all strict and up to the mark and now they're all back to square one again. Or maybe they have a reason we don't know about yet..

If I'm not mistaken, in Hungary, Vettel was not penalize because it was deemed that he did not gain any advantage as the level of grip on the curb and green turf is much lower than the road itself so its not ideal to be on those surface while exiting a corner when you need grip to accelerate.

Not sure about this though, although the level of grip is lower, he may be cutting the track as that is on the inside of a corner.

Its not just about the grip levels. Its also about the line. Its possible he was able to carry much more speed through a previous corner and ended up not being at the perfect line and turned in early for the next corner. So multiple things need to be reviewed.

In my opinion, that deserved a small penalty.

Its just Red Bull is up there with controversial actions every race: parts that are banned the next race, brake tests in safety car period, corner cutting in qualifying. They are let off at most with just a warning. Quite useless if they just deploy a different tactic the next race to gain a small advantage.
