Yes, you're right, he did seem very confident and positive indeed.
There simply has to be a very good reason for Fernando's confidence. He said "we will be happy in Brazil"... now, knowing what kind of a realist Alonso is, then these words can't be just dreaming, hoping or wishful thinking. He must know something that we don't.
Something must be cooking in Maranello indeed. I just hope that when they come out with it, then it won't be already too late.

Abu Dhabi is a low downforce track?
S3 there is full of slow corners isn't it and the Cows are good there??

Horner is a crook. Dont believe anything he says. Actually believe the exact opposite. So it seems to me he is confident about abu dhabi and a bit worried about brazil and austin. haha.
    Give them hell Nando.
    Silently, like a shadow

Red Bull is fast at anywhere with corners. In India we again see them very strong in the twisty part especially in sector 3.

Its just that, if the track is mostly corners like Singapore, then they will really dominate because they are fast at every corner of the circuit. But with much more long straights like in Abu Dhabi, it helps lessen the gap (they will maybe dominate 50-60% of the track for example, rather than 100%). Of course, I don't think it will suddenly put them behind but hopefully Ferrari can bring enough upgrade to further push us just enough to beat Vettel.

We will win this because we will.

Even if we don't, we are still Ferrari, everyone else is not. That's good enough for me.

Alonso's drive yesterday was genius, and he drove for us. That's something the loss of a WDC can't take away.

It's sport, ladies and gents. You win some, you lose some. But that's the beauty of being a Ferrari fan, it's not always about winning or losing. I have personally found more enrichment as a Tifoso in troubled times than in good. I'll take a loss supporting Ferrari than a win supporting <place team here>. Red Bull, for example: take away the wins and what are you left with?

Agreed. Alonso himself said in previous race, Red Bull have a faster car, but Ferrari is the better team.

“It could happen that I lose the lead in the championship and maybe arrive at the last race 24 points down, but what matters is to be first in the classification at the end of the Brazilian Grand Prix. What edge does the Red Bull have? A quicker car, but we have the better team.”

Sorry Greig,I apologise did not see that I post it three times as I was reading all the post threads at the same time.

Was just excited for Alonso and the team fighting with an inferior car and a team that's cheating with ride hide and flexing wing.

To keep up the pressure on Red Bull all we need to do is make sure we get the tyre strategy right this time

Ferrari hasn't been able to build the fastest car this season, that's true, and that's just that. No one is giving anyone any car.
I don't think so. To win you need a good driver and a good team@pits and good car/engineers. That is then a team task.

To lose, you can have a good driver and a a good car, but a bad strategy & timing at pit stops can ruin the race. If any of the legs fails you can say bye bye to the championship. At this moment the Ferrari car is not at the same level as the rest of elements.

    I am sure Alonso will.

Vettel is due some racing misfortunes... not wishing any ill on him but the law of averages usually takes place after 4 or 5 good runs.
