Should protest, I bet Vettel's plank underneath the car is gone.

What I will take from this season is that Vettel couldn't win the title until he was given the best car again. (Which, in his career, he has yet to prove he can do without the best car) Whereas Alonso was leading it for so long with a car that didn't deserve to be where he was putting it. I think it tells you all you need to know about which one you would rather have in your team. It's easy to measure success by numbers but it's a fool who doesn't look deeper at how someone performs over their career.

Agreed, he is a God and even looks like one, as drivers go he's got it all, especially a tactical brain.

He's not God, but he's a Racing God for sure.
The things he can do in an F1 car, just incredible! As was stated earlier by Ste...nobody has performed like this since Schumacher at his peak.

    Gooo Nando!!! Forza Ferrari!!!

Well said, pretty sure Vettel will come unstuck once the RB's domination is curtailed, hopefully sooner rather then later although probably not over next 3 races, sadly.

There's a good chance still for Fernando to win the title with this 2nd place from India. Just imagine one alternator failure for Vettel and Fernando will be right up there.

I really like Vettel, but Alonso deserves not just his 3rd, but his 5th F1 WDC before Vettel or Hamilton get their 3rd.
I'm still praying it's going to happen, he is consistently in the podium, while Vettel either wins or scores poorly, maybe if he keeps making miracles he may yet win this :D

Nah, that comeback was something that won't be beaten. 13 points can be covered easily in a single race.

On topic, is this another Fernando fan topic, thought we already had plenty of those.

Given the fact that no other team would employ him (McLaren fired him , RBR has a set lineup, and Mercedes simply is slower than Ferrari), I'd love to see that happening.

Basically you need to wake up and smell the roses, Alonso is lucky to be part of the team and he damn well knows it.

Every team on the grid would hire him. McLaren did not fire him either, Alonso left.

And yes he could well have been 5 times champ, 2007 last day, 2010 last day, and this year, so smell those roses yourself.

    If you say so!
So , to sum it up , he could not stay in McLaren (I assume you agree), and either he got fired or they broke ties is rather irrelevant.
In which team other than Ferrari would he be able to get a WDC?

You are the one who said nobody else would hire him so if you say so LOL LOL etc etc

It's not irrelevant, he left saying he was fired is just being stupid. Erm how about Red Bull as a team other than Ferrari to get a WDC, oh.

He's just pure class. We call him the juggernaut in our house. He's definitely cut from the old skool cloth. Wears his heart on his sleeve and his car on the edge.

I think he parted company with Ron Dennis rather than McL. in 2007. A not unusual occurence.
I believe Red Bull offered him a drive. He declined (perhaps knowing he was going to Ferrari?) Either way, I think it's fair to say he would have won a WDC.
Ross Brawn has said that he's sorry not to have worked with Alonso. He also offered him a drive in the year Brawn won the WDC for Jenson Button (Pause to think about this).

I don't think there's any doubt that FA would have won WDCs in the past if he'd made other decisions. Almost certainly at least two more.
As one of his fans I hope that he'll retire with at least a modest total of three and that wouldn't be an exaggeration of his talent.

Well, at least Alonso is keeping the pressure on Vettel and RB, and staying within striking distance.

Has to be frustrating for Vettle and RB to be so dominant but not able to shake Alonso. They can't sleep well knowing one slip and Alonso and Ferrari will have them.

Don't play dumb with me. I'm better at it than you are.

Fernando Alonso is no god. He is just a young man with a great talent, that's all.
Some say he could have won 5 titles by now and that he is wasting his time at Ferrari.

Point is, he does not want to be WDC. He already did that twice.
What he wants is the only thing that is higher than being WDC.
That is being WDC in a Ferrari.
So no, I don't think he is wasting his time and I'm sure he would agree with me.

Alonso keeps showing everyone that he is the very best...
But some of his keen supporters make true Ferrari followers feel they have given him a Caterham to fight with!!
Not fair,he has'nt the best car yet, but you can hardly complain after today's race!

Even if Fernando does not win (hope it doesn't happen), I'm sure he'll be quite pleased with his achievements so far as all his fans and everyone else are. Seb can win 5 WDC but no right minded person who mention him in the same sentence as Fernando. Just look at Rocky V

I am an Alonsofan and I agree 100% with you: no, it is not fair, because every single man and woman in the team is working just as hard as Fernando does. Win together and loose together, remember those words!

Yes, and the car isnt that bad at all, as I mentioned, miles from where we started. Alonso is extracting every last bit of performance
from it, so no one else I believe could do better in it. I question what fuel Massa started on, as it is a bit odd to hear that he has fuel problem, then stops after the flag.
Bit strange that, as I think he wouldve finished higher.
This year has also brought Vettel into question. Now he is a great driver, make no mistake, but appears to struggle moreso than others when the car is not up to it,
as we've seen..well, b4 Newey did something else and made the car faster.
god? no, but he is probably the most complete race car driver in the world right now.
I would also like to have "that" race back...you know, the one where Grosj clobbered FA out of the race. Couldve really used points from that now.
