Thumbs up A lap with the Scorpion for the Prancing Horse standard bearers

(a good friend got me to drive 1 of these little babys last year at Goodwood and hoon it up the hill)

Austin, 16 November – This Stars ‘n Stripes racing weekend is not just about Formula 1 for Felipe Massa and Fernando Alonso. Before driving their F2012s, as the top level of motorsport returned to the USA, the two Scuderia Ferrari drivers took part in a teaser campaign for the official North American launch of the FIAT 500 Abarth Cabrio, which will take place at the forthcoming Los Angeles Motor Show.

The clip can be seen as from today on-line at the FIAT USA site, and will also be shown on the giant screens around the Circuit of the Americas, the venue for the nineteenth and penultimate round of the 2012 World Championship.

Felipe and Fernando were filmed for the video in the past few days at a circuit on the outskirts of the Texan capital: for both of them it was a chance to enjoy themselves prior to an important weekend in terms of the outcome of the championship, while having fun on track in the latest creation from the Scorpion marque.

    I love that advert.
Wouldn't mind one of those cars either, I've only driven the normal Fiat 500.

They great little cars. Had paddle shift gearbox, left foot braking, the scary part was going past the flint wall at Goodwood.

Love the advert, shame dont show them here.

The 500 Abarth is a great little car. Kudos to FIAT for making it.
It would be great if Ferrari would also make something like that. A cheaper sportscar for everybody to enjoy, not just the rich people. But then again, that wouldn't go with the Ferrari image. All Ferrari's are supposed to be expensive, exclusive and obtainable only by some lucky ones.
