And both our guys starting from the dirty side after Grosjean's penalty is just a finishing blow for the championship. If anyone, it should be Ferrari who knows how to spot on the end of the season and the title hunt. But we are the ones who are doing it wrong... why oh why

We were faster in Q2 because we had 15 mins, not 10 like in Q3. Pirelli screwed us over here mates. We needed 1-2 laps more. Felipe could have had 4th with the Q2 time.

why did we have such tyre warming issues? we never had such issues in the first half of the season, when we were actually brilliant at getting heat into the tyres.

Kind of hard to read all of this negative stuff. The racing is great to watch.
We cannot win every race or every wdc.
Just be a fan and wish the team well, root for our guys.
Strange things happen in races and everyone is doing the best they can.
    Simple as that.

I agree, but at the same time, its really extreme if we cannot warm our tires up in 10 mins

Something is wrong with the way we get the tire temp up. Seriously.

The irony is that Pirelli said they brought these tyres because they didn't want to influence the championship.

They are wrong for F2012. Not for the other cars.

But you can't conclude that they brought the wrong ones? It was our own problem, whether due to the design of the car or the set-up, that the tyres can't be switched on within 3 to 4 laps. The others were doing fine.

I guess we can only conclude on this after tomorrow, with reference to the tyre wear throughout the race. Yes the softer tyres can be switched on more easily, but will they wear out much too quickly in the twisty high speed sections and the T8 replica?

It was always there since last year. Qualifying was our weakness because of how slow we warm our tires. Last year they modified the rear suspension in attempts to warm it up but nothing worked so far.

They ran in Q3 with the same tyres from Q2.

    I wonder why.

i feel that we might lose a bunch of positions when we head out from the pit when new tyre is switched on in tomorrow's race.

Struggling bringing the tyres up to the optimum temperature, as this has been the case this year, amplified by the wrong tyres brought by Pirelli and a dirty track with low temperatures.

I mean, in Q2, it took the whole session for them to put a decent lap. Expect them to struggle tomorrow in the beginning. Sucks.

But we are not winning that much races, and last WDC we won back in 2007, which was 5 years ago.

I mean its wrong in the sense that when cars can set faster lap after doing several laps, it means the tires are too hard. Tomorrow will be a 1 stop which wasn't what they wanted.

But look at silverstone and hockenheim. We were great at getting heat into the tyres there.

Need Vettel to screw up. That's just it. Really no chance to get this going to Brazil in any other way.

I don't wish anyone bad luck, but Vettel's DNF tomorrow is our best chance to keep WDC dream alive.

IIRC, Alonso got his pole in wet condition

Yes I thought the 'creative' solution of pull-rod front suspension is meant to warm up the front tyres more quickly as well?

That is the only thing that can prolong this fight (agony) for another week.

'coz with each lap, the tires were becoming better and producing faster times......even fingerboy and lewis used Q2 tires....

The thing is, we should have won some. We have the one who is known as "best driver out there" and it is for nothing (and even he didn't show anything today...). In the last 8 years we have won just 1 WDC and that was only by an "accident", that's not something with what Ferrari can be satisfied.
