Favourite moments of the 2012 season

I think it has been a great season, bad times and disappointments aside, so I thought it might be nice to have a positive thread with our favourite moments.

    On-track:
For me, it was this, Massa's overtake on Senna in Singapore -

Still can't believe he made it, and it feels like things really started to change the minute he did.

    Off-track:
I think the drivers being allowed to have Twitter accounts has been brilliant in terms of feeling closer to the team, and giving an insight into their lives; whether it's Fernando's arty Instagram photos of Tomita or Felipe taking pictures of Rob's socks. I think the photo of the two of them with paintguns was a particular highlight

    Personal highlight:
Going to Monaco and getting to meet and in some cases chat to the people in the team that I wanted to was the highlight of my entire year

    What were yours?

What a great move by Felipe, the car wobbling on braking to the entry is the closest I've seen to the good old days of F1!

Still, I admit that my on-track personal highlight for 2012 is Alonso's victory at Valencia. Magnanimous...

Off-track, the photo of Felipe and Fernando hugging at the end of the Brazilian GP, where man is bigger than competition.

And, as a personal highlight, I cherish a photo of Fernando, television camera in hand, on the podium at Monza. I was at Paddock Club and managed to sneak in at Mclaren's, whose hospitality suite was closest to the podium, a few metres away from where it all happened.

My on track moment 2012 was Felipe's podium at Brazil last week.
My off-track moment of 2012 was also the hug between Felipe and Fernando after the race in Brazil. Felipe really did know just exactly what Fernando was feeling at that moment.
My personal moment of 2012 was the Italian Grand Prix I visited. But my most memorable moment was not at the circuit. I stayed in Milano in a hotel and we were walking through the city nearby the Ferrari store when we suddenly heard and saw a Ferrari California driving into our direction. When we looked closer it was Luca di Montezemolo who was driving and we went crazy. We screamed ''LUCA" and after that he did the window down and gave us a thumbs up! We were excited for the rest of that evening and iam very sure this had to be so, the Ferrari god just wanted that we as tifosi saw Luca that day

Valencia. The pessimism after qualifying, followed by an absolutely flawless drive with numerous brilliant overtakes and then the celebrations and emotions afterwards. Sensational.

Valencia for me, Alonso showed some amazing aggression in overtaking and while Seb retiring did give him the win it was such a great drive. Massa's 2nd half recovery was also great for the team and fans.

Off track, the way both our drivers are good friends and as said them being on twitter is great for us fans as we see a much more personal side to them.

Personal highlight, going to Silverstone even if I did get trench foot

That Felipe clip from Singapore where he overtakes Senna. You gotta love it! Could you be anymore on the limit? :D

Just for the sheer emotions and Fernandos overtakes and driving the wheels off the F2012 and what that race meant for him and the team, has to be Valencia

Valencia stayed in my mind to as the greatest race Fernando drove this year (even his best for Ferrari).

Favourite moments of the 2012 season

Valencia for sure, followed by Brazilian GP where Massa again showed what a team player he is. India (under rated) where Alonso drove on the limit 60 qualifying laps. Malaysia, unbelievable result. And all in all, our team's whole conduct under the stress they faced throughout the year. I am in love with Ferrari & proud to be a Tifoso.

    Valencia ... no doubt ...
    Qualifying in Silverstone
    Hockenheim ...

finally I want to give a big respect and a big hand for all those members of Ferrari F1 team which names we never get told but did also a great job this year! From left front rear mechanics 'til pit crew worker ... Pull my hat ... Mille grazie ... you guys are the heart of Ferrari ...

and if someone of the members here know such person just give him my congrats.
Personally I would find it as an great honor if those people will get a little praise at official homepage where each member of this season will be announced ... like a thank you trailer ...

Fernando in Valencia and his relentless attacking mode everywhere else, then Felipe's pass on Senna in Singapore and his subsequent brilliant display in Brazil where he really showed his team spirit and return to form, that was so important for us all.

Brazil 2012 also likes me, except for final result in championship...this moment was awesome, look at Alonso's hands:

But also the Vettel's accident, the cover maneuver of massa between Alonso and Webber, etc...

Top class driving really. Both our drivers have that as you saw with Felipe as well with the greatest overtaking of the year in Singapore.

I will never forget the moment Alonso stood on the the podium in interlagos. Losing the title so closely again and still be able to show his respect and apprichiation for his team showed me that he not only is a great driver, he's also a great person.
I would have cried like a baby

These were fantastic moments this year. Let's hope we will fight for pole position next year on a regular basis.

Yeah right i can remember myself that overtake very well. First Grosjean went wide and at the next turn Felipe passes both Michael and Grosjean on the inside. A fantastic move by Felipe, although the overtake on Kimi in that race was very nice as well.

As a Ferrari fan, Valencia!! Absolutely and irrefutably!!

BUT, as a Kimi fan, his inimitable style: "Leave me alone, I know what I am doing!"

:xmasbiggrin:Valencia was a highlight for me too....but I can guarantee it was for a completely different reason than the rest of you :xmaswink:

    also qualy in Monaco.

lastly, and something that Suzie didn't mention :xmaswink: 5 minutes in the Monaco paddock and she'd already fawned over Rob Smedley
