In addition to the 'shark gills', the shape of the 'UPS' duct portion of the sidepods that house the exhaust has changed significantly between China and Bahrain. The latest design is fatter and rounder with a more gradual undercut.

Loved seeing our wing and floor flex during P2. Looks like we finally discovered RB's secret, and then some.

We, Merc, Lotus, McLaren,... It's system teams are using for a while already. I don't know why there's so much talk about it now. But the truth is, that Lotus has probably the best (and simpliest) one.

Interesting. I wonder whether they use it in Barcelona as well or that's just a hot weather bodywork.

Also the shape of the edge of the floor is new.

Mercedes' interlinked suspension is allegedly fully hydraulic. Ferrari has also connected front and rear suspension but has conventional suspension components.

I don't think Ferrari have a flexi floor. They were going over the kerbs, so the car will shake a little. It is just a rumour spread by Ferrari haters so they can moan about the car being illegal.

In 2011 I think, Red Bull was using flexi T-tray (the front part of the floor). It allows you to run higher rake, as you raised the rear of the car, the front will dip down (imagine a see saw). Too much and the T tray will start scraping the floor. So what Red Bull do was to allow the T tray to flex so it can flex up

Yep, you're right about that. When an F1 car goes over the curb then some parts on the car are bound to vibrate and flex. Nothing new here imo.

Red Bull is suffering, not being allowed to cheat like previous years. Chassis and Front Wing flex is very limited this year and the FIA (Todt) is cracking down on Red Bull cheating Year after Year! It's about time somebody had the guts to pull the reins in on them and make them race by the rules!

PS : The Ferrari Front Wing is NOT flexing. The view is of the Ferrari traveling over the "Rumble Strip".

    Ciao,

    Forza Ferrari!!!

Pirelli: 'Red Bull want a tyre tailored to them'

    Saturday 20th April 2013, 19:40 by TF1T Staff

Red Bull are pushing for Pirelli to make a tyre tailored to their car, according to Paul Hembery, who admitted the majority of teams don't want them to change anything.

The exclusive tyre supplier will meet with the teams on Tuesday after the Bahrain Grand Prix to discuss the tyre situation.

Some camps are complaining about the high degradation whilst others are happy with it. Pirelli says it's open to minor changes in the way the rubber is bound to the canvas if the majority of teams support it, but they won't make any major structural changes despite pressure from Red Bull.

"The construction will be the same, because if we changed that even slightly, the aerodynamics would be affected," Hembery explained.

"Red Bull wants a stronger intervention from us, but we can't just do that, because of the other teams.

"The majority of the teams actually want us to do nothing - Red Bull can't expect us to tailor a tyre just for them."

Hembery is adamant the tyres are doing what is expected of them.

"No one is able to say before the race who is going to win. There are many different strategies, and overtaking," he added.

"Both tyres are doing what we expected of them. I think we have done our job well."

Red Bull can try, but the right thing to do is not to do anything. Every team was given the new tires at the end of last year for them to gather data and prepare the new car for it. Tough luck for Red Bull if they did not get it right.

how is F138's floor compare to others ? There must be a difference.

Actually Red Bull need to understand the tyres, just like every other team in the the pit lane has to, why give them special treatment? About time they stopped cheating and played by the the rules anyway.....

hmm are we allowed to do this test during the season according to the test regulations?
And if: what is the purpose of this test? Can we do something with F150 which we can use for our actual car?

Probably some lucky Ferrari F1 owner from the Corse Clienti program.
Dr Ferdinand Porsche:" Nuvolari is the greatest driver of the past, the present, and the future".
Enzo Ferrari once drove with him and recalled even on bends "he never took his foot from the accelerator".
