Oh come on, emotional attachment....on the race track? With driving for a completely different team? And how is that comparable to the team bosses? They aren't driving on the track. Flavio did not help Fernando when you are pointing to 2008, quite the contrary. He was 'helping' himself and Renault who were in a desperate situation. And the same goes for Ron Dennis who was trying to help his long time investigation in the first place, as well as caving in to some media pressure.
No, what is going on here was Schumacher helping his fellow german driver, nothing more. He won't invite him for coffee afterwards or for a candle light dinner. PR reasons. Imagine the next article from BILD Zeitung had he somehow tried to fight back....
If only Renault had moved over for Alonso in 2010, bet would have been media outrage then....
Forza Ferrari
FINALLY, a sensible quote. It pains me to see what this forum has become - a majority of members merely whining about this or that. Even when there is a victory, there is something to complain about. Right now, everyone is praising Massa, till a few weeks ago, he was being labelled all sorts of things. Most of these guys didn't even watch F1 till as much as 2006. People who saw that race know what mutual respect was. No one complained when most drivers got out of Schumi's way in Brazil. At those times we called it "respect" and now, when he does something similar with Vettel, who he has publicly called a close friend, people are lashing out and sharpening their knives.
I really havn't been to other forums and I dont know what people there sound like, but most "fans" here are amazingly negative. Perhaps, it is YOU guys who are causing Ferrari's downfall. You guys will be all out trying to undermine Vettel for what he has achieved and label him with horrendous titles but will not see how many threads have been started here saying "Red Bull are cheating" "Vettel doesnt have class" and so on and forth.
This forum used to be a place to have a decent conversation with true fans who took defeat well and enjoyed victory like champions. Sadly, its just a place for hanky-panky losers now.
oh I know I will get flak and be labelled a traitor and all that, but seriously, I do not care, nor do I think I will be here again. Feel free to ban/remove, but I do know I spoke my heart and I do know that some people will know I am right - this place is not what it used to be. And never will.
My love for the Red cars is Final. My integrity non-negotiable.
Bye then
Webber is close friends with Alonso, does not mean he would move over for him, quite the opposite.
Forza Ferrari
Very true, but then again if Schumacher was defending Rosberg's WDC title I think Vettel would of been off roaded.
It's pretty much a dead end street debate, F1 is full of reason of why things are done and many justifications for them. I feel cheated for Ferrari not by lack of effort or skill but LUCK!
Oh I see, now it's our fault.
We are also hanky panky losers, whatever that is.You guys will be all out trying to undermine Vettel for what he has achieved and label him with horrendous titles but will not see how many threads have been started here saying "Red Bull are cheating" "Vettel doesnt have class" and so on and forth.

Don't let the door hit you in the behind on the way out.nor do I think I will be here again.
Don't play dumb with me. I'm better at it than you are.
RBR have publicly thanked Michael for the "generous" move

These guys at Red Bull are pure class and good manners...![]()
I thought this site was full of formula 1 and Ferrari fans. I have not posted a comment for a long time but I feel really compelled to reply this time.
What kind of comment is this about the greatest driver ever?....are you on drugs?.
I have no respect for somebody that does not respect greatness. Schumacher did not let Vettel go by. Vettel has had a superior car all season.
It is childish to presume that Michael would put up a fight that was not his to start up with.
Grow up and stop complaining. I am really tired of these comments. We LOST and PERIOD.
We need to have a better car next year. Our drivers are nothing without the proper equipment.
Schumi didn't do anything any one of us wouldn't have done, had we been in his shoes!
At the end of the day, Schumi's gesture did NOT give Vettel the title; he only needed 7th!
There really is no point in looking for excuses, rationalizations, explanations for our season
by blaming anything that happened in the last race!
As Alonso so eloquently put it: "The championship was not lost here!"
"Michael very graciously gave him P6 and that was enough to convert his third consecutive world championship," said Horner.
"Michael is renowned for being a tough racer. I think it was his gesture to Sebastian, almost like passing the baton on.
"I'm sure it was not particularly well received at his former employer [Ferrari] but I thought it was very magnanimous of Michael to move out of the way for his fellow countryman."
Michael obviously felt it was something he wanted to do and it was very generous that he moved over in his final grand prix."
Schumacher and Vettel are long-time friends, and the elder German said after the race that he had no qualms about relinquishing sixth to his compatriot.
Of course Schumacher did not let Vettel by. Who would even think sucha thing .

Schumi would be beaten anyway but his not putting an effort into defending against Vettel is what bothers me.
He was like ''i wont bother you bro go on''![]()
CH even thanked MS for his gesture move. This is disgusting...
I see no problem with Ferrari fans voicing their displeasure at Schumi's move that day. No one is disputing Schumi's achievements, but sometimes even the best driver makes poor decisions, it happens to everyone. Schumi is not the kind of driver who would give up just because he have an inferior car. He fought Kimi side by side going into turn 1 that day, giving Kimi just enough room to stay on track, not an inch more. So here's a guy who still knows how to fight ruthlessly.
Of course at the end of the day, its his choice and the team that won't be amuse is not Ferrari, but Mercedes because he's fighting for points for the Mercedes. He just let his personal support for Vettel get in the way of him driving for Mercedes. Its not illegal, but you can't expect everyone to like that kind of stuff.
Lewis have said he thinks Alonso should win the title for example, but when it comes down to him and Alonso, Lewis will not be giving anything up to Alonso, thats for sure. He's racing for himself and McLaren ultimately.
