Not sure the fuel levels will speak to Fernando at lunch and ask him, won't call will just send a text!

One of the best things here is always the explosion of 'Alonso goes first' postings, followed by Fernando being beaten by a FI the next moment.

The Ferrari looks very generic imo, nothing really stands out as creative especially the exhausts. I will be very surprised if it has front runner pace.

    LOL

Last year everything on the Ferrari stood out, but it was terrible in the winter testing.

Funny albert, as i see what we did in a lot what the other teams have on their cars. The Merc looks like the most " generic " of all the new cars for this year in my opinion.

Yeah, agree. Merc's is most but Ferrari's is second most.

For the fast time seekers of the forum....including me

    From autosport live
11:23 Alonso is also out on hard tyres. He backed off on his second lap.
11:21 Alonso closes in on Raikonen with a 1m23.626s.

    No way Mate
Read the article of Mr. Anderson.Quite an extreme car, from the front to the rear.Highest nose, vertical radiator with all the bulk forward, monstruos undercut with extreme coke bottle (EVEN TO THE EDGE OF FLOW SEPARATIoN) very tall sidepods sides in the front with no existing sidepods in the rear(the contrary of the williams FW35,which apart from the geabox is a more conventional car),extremised pull rod at the front and on the rear, innovative rear wing. What do you want more????????Quite lots of risks for an evolution of the F2012 ,hope they will pay

Dont expect to get those times in this test cos those times were made with ultra-low-fuel cars with DRS activated everywhere...So I guess some 1:22 will be more realistic...

We should not expect aniway to be fastest
I think we still are 7 or 8 tenths from the best,theF138 is an evolution of the F2012(even if a far better one).I think at the moment all are more or less where they were.Things will start to change when all teams bring their aero package for the first race, than it will possible to have a little better comprehension of the speed of each cars. we will have the whole truth only in melbourne.

I think it will be very tight between the teams at least in the first rounds of the championsship. And the fight for Q3 will be as hard as the fight for pole.

Just a few laps, and some of you are already writing Ferrari of, or saying we're 7 or 8 tenths of pace, come on, get real, the real car we see in Melbourne, and i'm very confident.
But if you want to believe assumptions or opinions from different autosport journalists, why not believe this:

What fascinates me, is that at the launch of the MP4-27, it was noted how low the front of the car was and hence the opportunity to develop the car and work with the airflow under the nose was constrained.
It was not this that constrained McLaren in 2012, so if the car is quick – and Barcelona test 1 will give us a better idea than Jerez – then McLaren will have even more development opportunities in 2013 with the front end of the car.

So both McLaren and Ferrari are on a ‘pull rod’ system and RB have stayed with the ‘push rod’ suspension.
I’m wondering has Newey missed a trick by sticking with the push rod system and the lower ‘roll centre’ and reduces area for air flow manipulation?
Dr Ferdinand Porsche:" Nuvolari is the greatest driver of the past, the present, and the future".
Enzo Ferrari once drove with him and recalled even on bends "he never took his foot from the accelerator".

The day Newey 'misses a trick' will be the day hell has frozen over.

Loving the high gloss red paint of the F138. Beautiful colour and effect. Not keen on the rusty UPS badge though.
