I believe Fernando has gone for the wet set up hence we are not going to see Ferrari at the first 2 rows at least. My worry is that by doing so we shouldn't be too far back or even fail to qualify for Q3. Again this race our objective will be for podium not more nothing less. Unless something dramatic happens in the first corner!!!

FP3 was not representative don't worry...ferraris only doing 14 laps each, big fuel loads onboard probably...slower than yesterday in final sector, looks to me that they are hiding their pace...

you'll see in a bit more than an hour, and more importantly, tomorrow during the race ;)

Not sure what to expect hopping for 2nd row. What ever happens, the points are given tomorrow.

But it is easier to grab them if you start somewhere up im front... Or if it is raining...

I don't think Ferrari were sandbaging or anything.

FP3 is normaly a very accurate picture of Q3.

I expect the weather conditions or temperatura is the key factor that we don't know.

BTW, Raikkonen too was a bit lost in FP3 compared to yesterday.

And finally, De la Rosa: "the important day is tomorrow" so don't expect Ferrari doing pole or even 2nd row.

    what changed? temperature?
maybe they changed the setup, and it didn't work?
Hopefully whatever it is , they can rectify it and can get back to yesterday's pace, but expectations have gone down.

Let's see what happens and Forza Ferrari!

I don't expect we can take front row.3-5 or 4-5 is more realistic.

2nd row would be the best possible result.if alonso or massa gets to 3rd there is a very good chance he will be first by turn 1 given how good we usually start and how long is the run to the first corner

De la Rosa: "Alonso wasn't too happy when he stepped out of the car but he'll change a few little things and hopefully it will help for Qualifying".

De la Rosa have said a few times they aren't focused on today's qualifying but on tomorrow's race.

Don't expect a great result today. Maybe tomorrow.

But while it might be beautifully sunny one moment, a freak thunderstorm could suddenly hit - and it appears the team's radars are suggesting "activity" in the local area which might impact on qualifying. Tasty.

In other words, we'd be happy to make it into Q3?

thing is, our FP2 times were not far off Vettel's time today and the track has improved today, so they should have doing the same times they did yesterday.
But they are 5-7 tenths slower

In normal circumstances yes, I think Q3 is not a in risk but 4th or 5th row is realistic.

Red Bull have real worries, tyres were completely destroyed after 10 laps during a race sim.
Ferrari more fuel load, almost sure of it, the race set up will be important, first row would be great, but P3,4 or 5 will do just fine for me also.
Dr Ferdinand Porsche:" Nuvolari is the greatest driver of the past, the present, and the future".
Enzo Ferrari once drove with him and recalled even on bends "he never took his foot from the accelerator".

I just thought if Fernando sets up his car more for race and Massa more for qualifying, and that means Massa will qualify better and then hold Fernando up in the race, something is really going wrong here.

Stefano pointed out that they need to be concern about the tires for tomorrow.

Wonder if we'll get into Q3 and just do a lap on the hard

    Edit:

A chance of t-storms in 33-degree heat at #F1 #Sepang for qualifying. Meanwhile, in N-W England, it looks like this..
I need some of that snow here

Would think both of the drivers will set up the car for the race. Think they learned from what Kimi did last weekend.

Horner said in RTL that when yourre fast your tyres are worn faster.

So Pink moo's got a fast ca then.

Yesterday Fernando said they would give in qualifying speed in order to gain some race speed cause that matters!

No, I don't think that is at all possible. They should have similar set-up with minor changes otherwise it would be crazy and probably a bad sign for the team knowledge about what's the best strategy for the win.
