Whenever I see them on the podium or in press conferences together Seb always tries to joke and be friends with Alonso, but Fernando never seems very interested or amused in replying it.
It only makes me love Fernando more![]()

Disappointing; 2009 to 2016...
I don't think Fernando dislikes Vettel, it's just the way Fernando has to treat his rivalry with him. Maybe it's everything about Vettel having it "too easy".
You can not like every body. Respect yes but that's different.
Some people you meet you don't like by some reason and you don't know why as the person haven't done any harm to you.
Maybe that's the way ...
and we also don't know what happens in all those areas where we have no access to it.
And Alonso is there to race against them: fair and square. And not a saint. Therefore it is not my biggest concern.
I think Alonso is a fantastic driver, but he has always seemed quite big-headed to me. As much as I hate Vettel, there is no reason to treat people like that.
Who cares. I can't stand Bieber, every time i see his face on TV i quickly change channels (and i see that a lot on german TV), so if Fernando doesn't like him either, he has my full support.
Does anyone get the distinct impression i don't give a ......?

Enzo Ferrari once drove with him and recalled even on bends "he never took his foot from the accelerator".
Nah, they are just two very different people. Vettel is a young chap, he's that guy who would spray campaign on the grid girls or joke on the podium.
Alonso is different, he's much more mature now, and he's extremely competitive. Every moment he's in a racing suit, he probably only thinks about racing and the title competition. By the time he's on the podium steps his mind is probably already at the next race track.
Lewis, well he's the guy you would find looking cool in front of the camera making lip service for the fans.
These are all world champions with different personalities.
They are rivals from different teams...just that competitive spirit within Fernando. After all, F1 is a racing competition and not a popularity contest. At the end of the day, they are measured by their wins and total points and not as to how many friends they managed to gain.
Forza Ferrari!
come on
only horner and company can stand beiber boy
Hell would have broken loose
Does anyone get the distinct impression Alonso doesn't like Vettel?
Alonso refuses to partner Vettel at Ferrari - report
It’s no coincidence that Sebastian Vettel has been reported to have extended his Red Bull contract till the end of 2016 – as Fernando Alonso has refused to team up with the triple champion at Ferrari.
Vettel had last extended his agreement with the defending champions to stay with the team until 2014 with speculation circulating since last year indicating that the German may move to Ferrari after his current deal expires.
Alonso had pointed out last year that he had some say at Maranello in regards to who his teammate would be although he did clarify that he could not dictate the final call.
“The Spain ace, though, has rejected the plan to have world champion Vettel, 26, join him for what president Luca di Montezemolo had called a dream team,” reports the Daily Star.

Did Alonso not say he does not get on with Seb as a friend, but off course respects him as a driver.
Forza Ferrari
They are on the totally different ends of the spectrum. Vettel is young, Alonso is mature (not going to say old as he is younger than me). Seb is very outspoken, easy going while Fernando is a very private person when not on the job and is known to turtle up when confronted about his personal life. All of the F1 drivers think they are better than the others, it's in their nature and the day they don't think so they'll have to retire. So in this environment of highly competitive individuals it's almost strange if they become friends with each other. I think there is the mutual respect, but not much else. And as much as the team wants to paint a cozy picture, I doubt that Fernando and Felipe are real life best buddies - they are coworkers but also rivals. They get along, work for a common goal but if the opportunity rises are fierce competitors. And so it should be.
Press making up the stories (Vettel to Ferrari in 2014) then make up the reason why that story was false (of course because pure invention in the first place) 'Alonso vetoed' and then we have exactly the same situaion we had before stories were invented. I should have become a journalist. All you have to do is play the kindergarten game. Or wait- maybe i'm not that good at it, i would have to shut down more than half of my brain cells.
I don't remember ever hearing that but don't doubt it. Not sure it was meant as he dislikes Vettel, just that they are not pals off track the way Alonso is with say Kubica. But I've always heard Alonso and Webber are friends and I do get the distinct impression Webber doesn't like Vettel (I think that's a bit of an understatement), so it wouldn't surprise me if Alonso doesn't care for Vettel knowing some things we don't that have transpired behind Red Bull team doors. Vettel seems to have some sharp elbows.
Don't play dumb with me. I'm better at it than you are.
I can show you two reasons why I dislike Vettel....
1.
2.
That finger is so annoying and getting old, we get it, you got pole position! I want to cut that finger off so I don't have to see it any more. Its time for Pettel to grow up and start learning how to be humble. If Alonso does not like him, he probably has his own reasons. However, the media does like to create headlines to sell stories, so I doubt that any feud exists. Alonso just wants to drive.....
~FORZA FERRARI~
That's great when you have rivalries like this when both drivers I think have respect for each other, but aren't by far friends, or even less.
We need emotions. We need to see drivers that don't really like each other because it seems fake when you see them acting for the press or whatever they do to hide their real feelings.
So I'm all for it. And stop please blaming that someone is bad or behaves in not the best way sometimes. It's not like you all are perfect.
Exemplar drivers are boring.
Ferrari per sempre !

Annoys me, but I don't listen to radio anymore.
On Alonso vs Vettel, they said they don't hang out much. I think Raikkonen is Vettel's best friend in the paddock. But apart from that, I haven't heard any dislike.
Maybe since Alonso is tight with Mark, he is annoyed at RBR and Vettel's treatment? crazy analysis, but goes in here.
In Stefano Domenicali, we have a team boss who has proved to be a leader. - Luca diMontezemelo
I'd reckon there's very few genuine friendships between any of the drivers, not just Seb and Fernando.
And Lewis and Sutil's friendship is well and truly dead and buried going by the cringey interview Lewis did on Sky after the race.
Forza Jules
I don't think many of us "Like" Vettel. His childish finger gesture and his profanity along with the antics and clear cheating of the Red Bull team he belongs to have gandered must distain for him and his team.
Ciao,
Forza Ferrari!!!!
Fernando is a serious guy with a mission, Bieber is a Youtube child who's had almost immediate success once in a top team with the best car for the past 3 years. Maybe it's better to keep your adversaries at a distance rather than befriending them, and no, I don't really care either!
Don't think he likes or dislikes Vettel, don't think it matters either way, obviously they are civil towards each other (as many people are in the 'workplace') but don't socialise together outside GP weekends, no big deal, Alonso had friends, Vettel has friends, they don't need to be friends with each other...
I don't think Alonso hates Vettel but he probably does dislike his character. I remember a moment in Monaco, Vettel sprayed Champagne all over one of the Royal guards and Alonso shook his head in disgust. Alonso had a similar reaction last year when Vettel poured Champagne on the host of the post race interview.
Then there's the fact that Vettel claimed his team had to overcome dirty tricks from their rivals to win their 3rd title in a row.
"The client is not always right." - Enzo Ferrari
The guy has got to grow up now and stop with the finger nonsense! He's a three time world champ! Enough already!
