both screwed up. the stress these cars go through, surely it was a matter of time, especially the rapid deceleration in turn 1.

No; confirming that both team and driver equally underestimated the damage.

Look, I fully understand why they took the risk: we have seen in the past other drivers going for a few laps with a damaged wing, and it holding; Malaysia is a flat track, with very few bumps that could have worsened the damage; and it was a matter of a couple of laps that the track was ready for slicks.

It didn't work out, and as the saying goes hindsight is 20/20. But for all team and driver knew, it could have and it would have let them fight for the win. As people have pointed out here, had we been sent to the back of the grid we would have probably ended up in the points, but not that far ahead. Let's say behind the two RBR, the two Merc, Massa and one of the Lotus - ie 7th, with 6 points. Yes, every point counts, but a 6 points deficit is not the end of the world when the season is just starting.

Cheer up! And now let's go for China

To be honest I don't blame Alonso or the team in this one but I want to know what hapen with the hit, was Vettel too slow or Fernando too optimistic?. It was a racing incident, stuff happens.
    i actually agree with you.
i thought aswell that he shouldn't pit, because after few laps he should have done it anyway and it was too early for slicks then, he wouldn't have gained anything

If Vettel screwed up and didn't understand the situation with the radio, why didn't he give the spot back? Apologizing, after the damage was done. Can you get any more disgusting?

To me, looks like convincing Mark to help him in Championship, should a situation arises later

looking at last year, Mark would rather crash into him in last race than help him winning it. i can only imagine what face Mark would make and apologize in same manner. (i know i have good imagination)

The car could feel OK. The thing is, he can't see the wing hanging by a thread, that's work of the team. Even with the wing scratching on the ground it's still generating downforce.

Webber is too honest to get back at Vettel one day I think, but if he did nobody would hold it against him.

A very poor show from Sebastian. He basically stole RBR's car, ignoring his whole team to satisfy his own agenda. Very unsporting indeed, dirty boy.

A good points score for Felipe and some great driving to maximise those points. Well done Felipe! Our pace was a bit slower than I expected. I don't understand why, but I'm certain Ferrari will have a handle on it. I'm very encouraged by the F138. Gutted for Fernando but let's move on and get two red pilots on the podium at the next round.

Seems Felipe didn't have any problems with the car. The wet track hurt us, lost a lot of time there. When the track got dry, was a lot better, though couldn't match Merc and RBR. As the track got hotter, the pace got better.

No, he thinks that an apology will put it all to rest and everybody will be happy again. Till the next time...

He is just an unreliable backstabber.

Mark Webber has revealed his disappointment after losing the Malaysian Grand Prix to Red Bull team-mate Sebastian Vettel late on in the race.

Webber has claimed that he was told to ease off by his team as Vettel went on to secured the win.

Red Bull told Vettel and Webber to hold their positions with Webber in first and Vettel in second, though the German went on to challenge and won the race. Webber believes that Vettel acted in his own interests and claimed that he will receive protection, despite going against orders.

"After the last stop the team told me the race was over. wE turned the engine down to go to the end," Webber told reporters.

"The team made a decision which we always say before the start of the race is how it's probably going to be: we look after the tyres and get the cars to the end.

"In the end Seb made his own decisions today and will have protection as usual, and that's the way it goes. I'm disappointed with the outcome of today's race."

Red Bull have been accused of favouring Vettel in the past, something that has reportedly caused disharmony within the team before.

I was about to do the same, but the RBR Merc show was quite entertaining.

Sebastian, do you think this can be considered as a dirty win? Do you think this will be a dirty Championship?
We're missing another pathetic show by the media. They'll surely have one ready for Alonso if something like that happened.

    That's life.
