you cant help but laugh when webber gave vettel the middle finger when he passed....video on totalf1.com for those who want to see it!
Enjoy Autosport then and being super critical of all things Ferrari, I am sure you will fit right in there
Your lap time data proves the car was not capable of winning so I don't need to counter anything when your own evidence shows it to you, the laptimes were not good enough to win, that's the fact![]()
Forza Ferrari
I'd say that Mark is too desperate to get out of the "number 2 driver" image many people view him as, and this is probably the biggest reason as to why he became exceptionally p i s s e d with the victory slipping away from him. Just makes the pain burn worst.

Any News on whats our Update for China and how much we will gain![]()
Remember - You just have the feeling that some years you have done a good job and others when you feel there was something missing or something you wanted to change or want to improve for next year
To be fair to Webber, the team did order both drivers to stop racing and turn down their engines after the final pit stop. This isn't something new, most team does it and the drivers are expected to do as instructed. Mercedes did the same and it offer us a chance to compare and see how it should be.
Rosberg, just like Vettel, wasn't happy with being told to stop racing Lewis either. But instead of taking things into his own hand, he asked for the team's permission to pass Lewis and when the team still said no, he obeyed it. That's how it should be.

~FORZA FERRARI~
And thats how it is in F1....No1 driver will always finish in front of No2 driver..unless situation out of the hands of the team. If u think Vettel is going to be given a good
talking to by RB, u r sadly mistaken. If anything, the team wanted him in front and are doing a lousy job admonishing Vettel..same at Merc, and same at Ferrari. Ask Rubens...
Massa had a great shot a few years ago to be wdc...to me he won it, but he lost out, as u all kno to whats his name. I really like Felipe, he is, as mentioned in another thread as true Ferrari thru n thru...but unless situation calls for it, he will never be allowed to finish ahead of FA.
I think it was impossible for RB to allow Webber to win...Vettel is their guy, Alonso is too much of a threat, especially starting the year with a better car to allow anyone BUT Vettel to win given the opp. So they must build as much of a lead on him as possible. Ferrari almost had it last year, and given the pace of the F138, they should be worried. Really, with Alonso out of the race, the RB's had it all their own way. Webber can cry all he wants, or say he may quit..whatever, he will simply be replaced and will either be driving for a lower team or out of F1. And he knos this..he isnt quitting, n in 2 weeks we wont hear anything more about it.
how about webber giving vettel a wheel banging or a nudge every race just to fend of his frustrations and denying vettel another chamionship?![]()
Hell would have broken loose

Lol. I suggest you ring up the team and tell them they know not what they're talking about with regard to the laptime data. I had this same discussion about Massa with someone else and instead of telling me "I simply dont know" he actually demonstrated to me by means of graphs what the team have said above and it actually changed my mind about his performance somewhat. And it happened over at the Autosport forums.
No fresh news on upgrades, looks like will have to wait for the next race in China. Because of yesterday disappointing result, it looks like Ferrari is being cautious with its prediction regarding upgrades. There was rumours before Sunday the car would be 3 to 4 tenths quicker in China. CHEERS......
I think that had Fernando not damaged the front wing and drove over it, and had Felipe not spun, both drivers would have had a pretty good shot at a podium.
Disappointed Since 2010
It's not our fault your analysis was wrong is it? I am very happy you found some lessons at Autosport maybe next time you come here you won't be so super critical without looking at the facts.![]()
Still the fact remains the laptimes were not good enough to win the race, clearly. As already said if being super critical on all things Ferrari is your way of supporting them then I am happy Autosport suits you![]()
Forza Ferrari
What? The team agrees with me that a win was possible... Come on Greig. Admit that if it weren't for the accident or Massa's poor start to the race a win was possible as demonstrated by the teams analysis.
You don't have to take my word for it but you really should believe the team who have all te data.
In the final analysis then, of course we could have had a 1-2, but only if Bieber had been rear-ended by Webber, and Lewis had decided to invite Nico to a Mclaren tea-party. Seriously, we could have certainly won or had 2 podiums if Felipe had done one of his usual flying starts and Fernando had followed him rather than Vettel. But we didn't, even though I think the actual pace may have been there under normal circumstances and clever strategy. Shame. Roll on Shanghai.![]()
Lots of if's there, if the race started dry maybe we could have challenged, but it never it started wet and we did not perform well in the wet and as such lost any chance of a race win, now if you want to ignore the opening 10 laps then that's not really being truthful, Ferrari PR off course paints a nice picture though as alwaysYet on the other hand they know they have a lot of work to do to beat our rivals. The analysis by Ferrari does not take onto account Massa taking nearly 5 seconds off Seb in the last lap, and was 35 seconds behind him before Seb starting to wind the pace down to bring it home.
But in essence if you want to admit you were wrong and that Felipe's race was far from mediocre then by all means do so.
Forza Ferrari
not really as always. This is the first time for a while they have openly said they are competitive normally it is 'we shall see' 'we need to keep working' etc.
I agree that the wet weather meant Ferrari couldn't have challenged for the win, but Alonso looked really feisty with Webber with his wing off on the first lap so I don't think he had many issues.
Alonso normally always downplays expectations so if he said he could have fought for the win, I am inclined to believe him. Felipe still drove a very good race and brought good points, keeping it on the track.
Now both drivers are scoring well, this is good. I want to see Felipe on the podium at least to get off the mark in 2013 and Ferrari win in China. Kimi in the sweet sport nicked it in Aus, now it is Ferrari's turn.
btw, who came up with the bieber nick for Vettel? very apt![]()
In Stefano Domenicali, we have a team boss who has proved to be a leader. - Luca diMontezemelo
can someone give me a brief overview of our pace during the race?

In all fairness to Ferrari2183, he seems to be saying that, as Ferrari fans, we should not be "settling"!
And, some of us (not including me) seem to find all sorts of explanations, justifications and rationalizations
as to why we should be over the moon that Massa finished 5th. We seem to be forgetting that he qualified
on the front row, that he fell back to about 10th and then had to fight back up to get to 5th. I realize that
many fans here have a soft spot for Massa and he definitely seems a nice guy who is very likeable.
BUT, F1 is a cutthroat sport with very little sympathy, compassion or pity for drivers who don't perform on
a regular basis! In spite of not having been around F1 as long as most of you seem to have been, I can list
the names of a few drivers who would agree: Hamilton (the super champ who wasn't), Kimi (contract cut
short), Sutil (lost his ride), USF1 (never ended up racing), tracks who've lost their races, etc. etc. etc.
At the end of the day, regardless of how well Massa does during Qualifying, when compared to Alonso, that
doesn't seem to be translating into podiums. I will very readily admit I have no clue why; but, I can also
say, categorically, that it's very noticeable! In fact, as a point of interest, I checked ALL the races in 2012
and the only time Massa finished better was in the two races where Alonso didn't finish! Not exactly the
type of thing you want to put on your CV/resume'!
Sorry, who is over the moon about Massa's fifth? That may be an exaggeration on your part, if you don't mind me saying so
Massa's qualifying doesn't translate into podiums? There's only been 2 races so far. Or are you talking about 2012, is that one of the facts you checked?![]()
Forza Jules
He does not speak for Ferrari fans. And I told you yesterday that both drivers admitted the rain made their qualifying positions higher than they expected, but here you are today saying oh he was on the front row and ended 5th? Strange that you would dismiss the drivers words just to have another sly dig at Massa.
Regardless of how Felipe does, you and others will find reason to put him down.
Massa was on the podium in Brazil did he not move over for Alonso? he also had to move over for Alonso at Monza which put him off the podium, so not sure why you are forgetting these things? He also took a grid penalty in US to let Alonso go ahead and he had to finish behind him....so maybe your fact checking is not so great?
Forza Ferrari
