Interesting, Ferrari has more wins than pole positions whereas RBR has more poles than wins..

The sad thing is that the majority of these victories and poles were garnered when the engines were built and designed by Ferrari. For decades the Prancing Horse was known for its V-12 engines and other innovative configurations which embodied a complexity, quality and power that was unattainable by lesser companies. Now, Ferrari merely build engines designed by a committee in Switzerland or some other planet. What a waste. Yes it is good to be the king of engine builders, but it was better to be the kings of engine design, innovation, quality, power and reliability. Not just the best builder of a spec engine.

I'm not that great with statistics; but, I noticed one glaringly obvious fact, actually 2, that I thought were interesting:

Not only was Ford-Cosworth behind by 44 victories, they needed 15 teams to achieve second place!!

Similar deal here, this time it's Renault that had 5 different teams helping to get them to second place, behind Ferrari!

I reckon there should be a prize for the best exhausts ever on a F1 car, the spaghetti-like concoctions on the 1967 car, looked and sounded magnificent. So did the Matra V12 of 1970, spine-tingling.

If only I could see it, I've only got a cross on my screen! What's to do?
Oops, now it's appeared and looks just like the '67 version, absolutely divine. Thanks Rob.

Pure poetry in motion and sounded superb too. Pity the rule makers will not allow something as fantastic any more.
