6:11 Maybe he just said that for PR purposes, but he has repeated his love for Senna many times. I don't car much, but here you go.
To me it seemed more like he said he preferred Senna and Prost, not mclaren. That one little line doesn't really prove anything anyway nor does it matter. He's a Tifoso now through and through and that's all that matters to me.

Btw, thanks for providing the exact time of the video when he says that, cause otherwise there would've been no way that I would've watched the whole 46 minute long crappy video. Even 6 minutes would've been too much

What are you doing watching videos like that anyway, huh? Naughty, naughty *smh*

How do you know that he "preferred" Mclaren? There isn't any definitive proof to support that claim. Unless you have a time machine to go back in time and a device with which you could read little Alonso's thoughts, there's no way to tell for sure what he preferred as a kid.

But whatever the case may be, the MOST important thing is that he's a devout Ferrari religion man now, without any doubt. He truly has seen the "light". And that's all that matters really.

    FORZA FERRARI!!!
Does it matter if i see the light too... pretty please.

The F138 is the fastest car on sundays, and it works on all circuits. We have traded a bit of qualy pace for that - 3 tenths in the dry - but we're right on the money. Of course, all of that is only valid for Fernando.

    This is the year, guys.
This is where most Felipe's fans and Greig starts to feel "hurt" ( i will use that word to describe it) and then they feel like they have to defend the driver, and Greig and Tobe will start not being so acceptive about certain members, cause they insist in putting felipe down.

and Greig and Tobe have always explained to some of you (newer members that might have jointed only in 2010 few mean alonso fans unlike the rest of them who are pretty cool) the reason why in this forum everyone feels connected to felipe, not only cause he has been with ferrari for so long, but the ups and downs with him, this community stood by their driver.

there was a link here about how the community here got together to support felipe's comebacks, and they (and everyone else) has always made clear would give fernando the same treatment.

the point being, they are both loyal drivers to ferrari, we are all ferrari fans (even if we have a favorite driver) we want them both to succeed.

please just accept it, we don't put alonso down in order to say "way to go felipe" so could some of you please at least stop being so rude to felipe in a ferrari forum, he is our driver, who has put the team first, who has done everything he could to help nando specially last season to grab that championship.

    so why the hard feelings?

99% of the times these older members will give (you exclusive nano fans) a hard time everytime you feel the need to bash felipe, they tend to remind you of all the things felipe has done to help fernando during these years.

its all for FERRARI an not ALL FERRARI for Fernano.

    sorry...

lets just celebrate nanos fantastic win an pace, an the car an team in general, and yes, including felipe.

IMHO - Fernando always tries to speak about him and Filipe together in interviews and press ....i dont think FA has the negative attitude towards FM so whay should be...they both are our drivers and we shoudl wish pray and celebrate together with both whatever the results are .....
Remember - You just have the feeling that some years you have done a good job and others when you feel there was something missing or something you wanted to change or want to improve for next year

It was an interesting documentary when it aired with Lewis an unknown. Being British I wanted to see what was up. What can I say?

Although it was nice watching that knowing what happens later on.

Fascinating!! You seem to have answered your own question before you've asked it!
First of all, let me go on record, once again, as stating that my FIRST allegiance is to Ferrari!
IF and when I make specific comments or ask specific questions, it's with this in mind!!

Also, I am NOT attempting to stir the pot, with the following; but, I truly am unable to understand
the above portion of the quote! I took it out of context because were a number of other comments
that I understood and even agree with!!

I respect, accept and appreciate the connection many forum members have with Massa,
and as I commented when I'd read the link, it's admirable and to be commended!

Having said that, why is there a need to "put Alonso down", in the first place?
I realize he is the strong driver of the two and we may feel less compelled to protect him.
I also realize he's the new guy in town and hasn't always proven "in the media" to be a great
Ferrari fan, while he was driving with other teams; yet, he has won over Ferrari hearts, now!

Regardless of the past, Alonso is our driver, just as much as Massa is our driver.
This is a Ferrari forum. So, why "put Alonso down", at all?

LOL let's hope you remember this, as for the rest you have just waded in without really understanding the point, just seems like you come on here not to support Ferrari but to challenge anyone supporting Felipe.

Nearly time for the next instalment in Bahrain, in the meantime I wish any Felipe-bashers would give it a rest as most of the time his strategies have caused him to lose places and momentum when he gets stuck in midfield. He couldn't have done much more in China as his tyres were shot but at last we had something really positive to celebrate. And now I hear yet more rumours about Webber being up to join Ferrari next season. I hope it is just that, a rumour, as in Felipe we have the perfect partner for Fernando.

I think there is some reading comprehension problems here.

Poltergiestes is not saying anyone IS putting Alonso down, rather that you don't see Alonso being put down in order to bolster Felipe the way you see Felipe put down to bolster Alonso.

And the way you bash Felipe you are not in a position to lecture anyone on supporting both drivers.

Don't play dumb with me. I'm better at it than you are.

Well, that would be your mistake and your bias when you read anything I post!
You seem to put people into two categories and neither of them have to do with
Ferrari as they have to do with the blind and undying support of Massa!

IF your FIRST allegiance is to Ferrari, there is no reason why you can't RESPECTFULLY
question what is going on with Massa and his RECENT inability to do better! That can
be done without denigrating / insulting / belittling the man himself, whom I've often
said seems to be a really nice and sweet guy! You see, I am able to separate the man
from the driver! And THAT is what my intentions are when I make a comment!
You would be hard pressed to find anything that I've written or that I say that is meant
to put the man himself down! My comments have always been regarding his performance.

    PERIOD.

Of course, as a wise man once said, you can believe it or not, that is up to you!!

Reading Comprehension is a combined effort between what is written, what is read,
the schema of the reader and the bias that reader brings to the text being read.

Having said that, please read my response to Greig as it applies to you, too!!

Ferrari won the race at the weekend, I have yet to see you even mention it, say well done, praise the team etc etc instead here we are with you on and on about Massa again, as I said the other day very tiresome and honestly I think its time you ask yourself why you come here, as it sure is not to support Ferrari.

So as I once said, "learn to respect this community or be gone."

I'm flattered you would even have noticed, Greig!! And, since you asked so nicely:
I was OVER the moon that Alonso won; but, it was bittersweet as I honestly believed we'd have a one-two!
I guess I didn't post anything after the race, for personal reasons, which have NOTHING to do with F1!

As for being a Ferrari fan, I don't have to justify myself or prove anything to you, nor does anyone else!
But, just this once, I will say, IF Ferrari weren't in F1, I'd not be killing myself to wake up in the dead of
the night to watch the races, let alone qualifying!! Hope that satisfies your curiosity!

    Have a great evening!!

When one member is causing so much disharmony on the forum then yes I do notice, and it's really nothing to be flattered about.

You could be a McLaren fan for all I care, the way you constantly seek to divide this forum would still get my attention.

Everyone in the discussion will please pardon my intrusion.

This definition assumes no differences in language and culture--things that MUST be considered given the nature of the medium in this case.

Suzie, you have a point, I came back from a weekend away and there were 'only' 700-odd posts to wade through on the China race thread. We're all guilty of letting off steam on one subject or another, but it does become very tedious and repetitive. But we're Massa fans so we're just as likely to become deadly boring ourselves!!
