Mate what is wrong with you, as soon as i turned on the tv and i saw that it was overcast i new lotus wasn't going to be competitive unless they do 2-3 laps run on same tyres, now why do you think on Alonso's q2 time was slower than the q3 time on same set of tyres? the mistake they did is they should have send Alonso out on a 2 lap run, he would have at least to my opinion a 100% chance for pole today, we only need to look back at last weeks quali to try and understand these tyres the good news is we are still ahead on rd by a small margin on tyre wear and on mecdes on at least 2 laps. Hopefully on the next Quali one yous here that is closer to Alonso, will ask him to do a 2 lap run one lap after the other on hard tyres on q1 or q2 to answer our questions, and i 100% quarantee he'l get pole.

I don't agree with you my friend, the way i see it..at the moment with alonso 2 lap run on same tyres will be still on par with rb and mecedes on there 1 lap run, as the race progress on the ferrari car will be ahead on both of them on tyre wear, the threat will come from massa and maybe kimi

Thats suicide for massa, unless hes driving a lotus car, my strategy for massa would be hards, medium so he can push as hard as he can and then another hard to finish..it can be the other way around hards, hards, medium

This race will be a true indication of where we are with rb with same set of tyres and race pace.

so there is an option not to use it?

merc radio to rosberg: look after the tires, they are race sets.

there is no need to say it on radio if it is required to use the same tire in the race if they have a same compound extra set.
Rosberg improved his time on those new tyres on that last run, thats why he'l start with those tyres.. that's what the radio conversation was all about. About Alonso's comment, he's saying he may need to use them if they decide to do a 3 stopper. On the start of race he will use tyres that he set fast time on, and that is the used tyres from q2..i don't think it's too much of a problem..as long as he gets a good start and be ahead of his apponents, with a long straight it shouldn't be much of a problem. Looking forward for a good race.

I really don't want to see that happening, so it's important that we go for the same strategy as Lotus.
Your talking about canada 2012, 3 stopper is an ideal strategy if it's hot unless it's overcast like yesterday for quali... these race weekend at bahrain was the only one i heard that they had rain

If massa does catch up to alonso, the ideal strategy would be to let massa go ahead because his on a different strategy otherwise massa strategy would be ruined, as the race progress on massa will likewise do the same for alonso when he does catch him with his hard tyres on, simple but for the team no idea what they are thinking and the two drivers. At that way none of them ruins the other's race.

Alonso must have a strong start since I'm doubting Mercedes race pace and BTW Lotus confirmed that Kimi will go for a 2-stop strategy

Just watched the GP2 start and the dirty side starters had the better start because there is a lot of rubber on the tarmac there.
The best scenario for us would be, Rosberg blocking Vettel with Alonso going past both of them and Maybe Massa too.
But I expect a great start from Felipe today.

Mr Kimi is the man to look out for, last year he came from behind to challenge the race leader. Watch out for him. As for Vettel I fear we will have to take him in the stops.

Saw that to with the start, best scenario of course would be Vettel and Rosberg going off :twisted with Fernando and Felipe comfortably driving off into the distance
