    it is only compound strict.
thats why numbers of sets of tires for qualifying will be carried over to the race.
it will be flaw in the rule if you have to use the used compound at the start when you have a fresh set of the said compound
Anakin, you must start on the tyres you posted the time on, you can change a tyre you used ONLY if it's damaged and Pirelli says there is a safety risk.

Alo will start on his first run tyres. On Autosport and TV they said the tyres were already used, but in the F1 Android App, they were shown as new and now with 3 laps (out, fast lap, in).
Given the time ALO posted I beleive the F1 App.

Its confusing me whether the tires has 1 or 2 hot laps. Aloson do have 2 new set for Q3, so I'm still wondering why he would run on used one instead

Fernando n rosberg will have to pit very early. Which can ruin Fernando's race coz he'll end up in traffic which can be tough to overtake in Bahrain.

That's why I beleive the F1 App that states the tyres have only one run.

He made mistake even before reaching S3, not sure where but replays showed he had a massive lock-up. I still think he was faster than the Bulls

Can work out well for Felipe as he doesn't have any driver in front if him with that strategy as Vettel had Sutil in front of him which compromised his shot at Podium in China

Yeah he surely would have got Vettel with a clean lap as i said, I only dont believe the set of mediums he did his first lap on was a used one

I believe it is a good strategy because Felipe was loving it on the Hards, but not so much on the mediums. If he does the same no. of stops, he can use the mediums at the end when they are at their fastest. Ferrari and he loves the hard tyre, also.

AND, since Massa and Alonso are on different strategies, they are not fighting one another. If one has to pit later, their race wont be ruined. This is a plus, as Alonso can pit early, but because Massa is on hards he doesn't have to.

Hope he gets a good start from the dirty side though. He needs clear air to make his strategy work.

Where did that Rosberg pop out anyway? He was nowhere before quali and then BANG! ...pole position in Q3.
But I guess knowing that Merc has a very good quali pace it shouldn't really be a big surprise. Well I'm just glad that at least Kimi didn't get pole.

Fernando didn't mention anything about tyres. Just that

"At the last corner I saw I was half a tenth to one tenth slower so we decided to come in and save one lap on those tyres," Alonso said.

"You never know if you'll have to use it in the race.
So no worries for used tyres i guess. It must have been a new set. It is crucial for tomorrows race to pass Vettel quickly

He will start in 4th,unlike vettel who started 9th in china. But massa has had problems with the car the whole weekend,so i don't really see him on the podium unless there is some sort of a drama

if we get a clean start then i am with u.

the fact that we have force indias 4 and 5 gives us some buffer at the start as well

A lot will dependent on what WEB and RAI or going to do during the race.. Good thing about Felipe is that he is in the possibility to stay out longer without compromising his race, which gives Fernando the possibility to pit whenever he feels the tyres are gone, without Felipe having to compromise.. Don't know if the difference between med en hard is that big.. but good thing are drivers are both in front with different tyres so no mix up.. but still we need to be agressive the first stint, overtaking is essential.. look at Melbourne vs. China..

    You bet!!;
Nico Rosberg has admitted that converting pole position into victory during Sunday's Bahrain Grand Prix will be extremely difficult to achieve, with the Mercedes driver wary of high rear-tyre degradation levels amid rising air and track temperatures.

We will race Vettel and keep an eye on Kimi!!

That's a weak argument .... of course starting from pole is an advantage, otherwise why do drivers go out and put the car on the limit to get pole. Psychologically it's an advantage too! Let's chance of getting caught up in an accident when you're on front row of the grid. Do you watch qualifying hoping Ferrari get 5th, 6th maybe 10th position? I think not!

This is looking good for us guys. I'm hoping one, if not two Ferrari's past Seb by turn 1.

I don't think Rosberg is an actual competitor, however you never know.

Alonso should be able to give it to Seb particularly at the start.

Well I suppose pole was within reach, but I suppose starting 3rd on the clean side is better than 2nd! Hope Alonso takes both before by end of first corner, since we all know rosberg is known for taking drivers off track,he did it to Alonso and Lewis last year in Bahrain!! Let's hope it's a good clean start from both drivers,a win by either drivers is possible with good strategy...

Those are not the tyres Alonso will use at the start. The time was posted on his first outing with a different set of tyres.
