Time can go as fast as a F1 car......Gilles 31 years, Ayrton 19......two of the true heroes of the sport who paid the highest price for their passion.
Let's hope we will never have to see another one leave us that way.
You can run like the wind, but you'll never outrun the Prancing Horse
Salute Gilles. Sad day. One of the greatest to never win WDC, but truely won all the hearts of the Tifosi, and still has spot in our hearts.

Could have been such a fantastic champion, so sad that he never got the chance but his legacy will always be in a tifoso's heart.
I would love to see a driver drive with his ----- again. Salut Giles![]()

At such moments Iam not happy to be young! I never saw him racing in real life but have seen some videos and his dedication was just fantastic! I have been to Zolder last year where I visited the monument for Gilles!

Forza Ferrari
The one driver I wish I could have seen race.
Forza Jules
Thanks Greig! Cheap as well! Maybe something for more to get know more about Gilles!
Salut Gilles. Some drivers today can definitely take a lesson from Gilles on how to treat others.
Salut Gilles..there r a number of vids on youtube. I watched a few.
At the time, ESPN was showing F1, so I got to see him quite a bit.
A great period in F1, yet such a sad time.
Well done for posting that sagi, what a driver and talk about taking risks and throwing caution to the wind.....makes today's antics seem quite restrained! Salut Gilles indeed.
Salut! I also wish I had seen him race.
Cheers,
Ray

Even though I haven't seen the Great Gilles racing live, I have seen plenty of videos and read a lot about him and there are just no words good enough to describe the greatness, wildness and bravery of this Great little canadian. He really was the best of the best and I have no doubt in my mind that had there not been that tragic accident then he would've definitely become a multiple World Champion.
Salut Gilles!
Here's another video that shows what kind of massive balls of steel he had:
