If we have any mechanical problems tomorrow, like in Bahrain, I'm counting our season over.

I think this was max in terms of time, Merc way too fast, We knew that RBR was perhaps a little bit faster, but we are only behind one so that's good, than Kimi, yeah, it's close so.. I think it's not too bad, it's just absolutly STUPID that the Mercs are so quick in qualy and they loose in race, it's a joke... Not looking forward to Monaco

But i is much easier to start further from the front and not to be so hard on the tires early in the race

Im not very optimistic about tomorrow either, considering how difficult this circuit is for overtaking....

God forbid that happen and SV wins again, than I would say that 55 point deficit would be almost impossible to recover

Guys don't bother about Mercs, they are quick as hell in qualy but in the race they really struggle a lot. I think we are the fastest in race conditions as i saw at free practices long runs. Anyway i hope good luck for both our pilots and have a good result tomorrow ( i have a feeling that our boys will both get on podium ). Cheers!

Bit of a strange last run. But no points given for today. We have shown how quick we can be off the line. 700 meter run to first corner. Still there for us, look what happened to Nico in Bahrain, he was defending straight away off the line.

Our long runs looked promising yesterday.

We all remember last year when FA was trying to overtake PM, and he couldn't

i think you're overly TOO optimistic mate....i too would love a 1-2 for US during the race day...but we have red fools and lotus that I THINK are better then us on long runs as well as preserving the tires better then us..

one thing im NOT concerned is mercedes; they tend to eat their tires the BEST out of all the teams....they ONLY seem good on a ONE timed lap...
So the SF-24 has been a decent car. Lets hope that the totally redesigned from the ground up SF-25 contender will be a beast that will give us tifosi something to smile about.

Agree with you, but podiums are not enough any more. With SV that much in the lead we need WINS!!!

Seb recovered 40 odd last year, with less than half season to go, so no this wouldnt be over.

Come on people please dont start saying it over just as we missed pole.

Alonso was very vocal about breaking the 16 year run of no win outside the front row which indicated he knew they were not up for pole. i braced myself for a 5-6 as last few qualis ferrari had the rub of the green but have had a few unfortunate races. i would rather finish quali where we are without a bit of luck and have the luck on Sunday.

They've shown in every race this season that regarldess of their position, the kill their tyres. Seb and Kimi are the main threats until Merc sort it out.

Well, FA will have to pass VET and RAI as well, and their race pace is very good too....besides its very difficult to overtake in Catalunya...

Yeah, but who is between us and the Mercs: VET and RAI, who are our competitors in the championship: VET and RAI, so we need to defeat them in the race, which isn't easy, the Mercs only make this task harder because if VET or RAI get ahead of them and we can't follow immediatly we will lose time, if the Mercs weren't there and we would be p3 and p4 behind Seb and Kimi, we still have work to do, but their is an extra risk less

Not all is lost. Kimi will be tough to overtake. Is p5 the clean side?

I know Rob, but God forbid something like that happens. We agree that Ferrari needs to start winning! And judging by how the things are now we cannot count on RB to have much DNF's

The last corner is a high speed aero corner, so it makes it hard for the drivers to stay close through that corner to line up for an overtaking move. Even with DRS, it's not enough to overcome the deficit.

But this year we have another DRS point, so maybe some overtaking can be done there.

Oh, I know, I'm just trying to keep the atmosphere optimistic here :D I think Alonso has a chance of winning but the way Felipe has been using the tyres so far this season is worrying.

Good performance from our cars. We have improved. What is not good is the order of the qualifying performance. We are 4th behind merc rb lotus. Lotus are now ahead of us whereas before they were behind. I still think victory will be us or a lotus. We can neutralize lotus with our fast starts.

You never know. Poles are nice, but i have always said i would rather set the car up for race day. 1 lap pace is nice for headlines and such, but if you have no race pace, then no points or wins. This season isnt over, anything and i mean anything can and will happen.

Agree with you on car set up. But now days F1 is so technical and so many teams are very close, so one cannot afford to be way to behind on a starting grid because it is very hard to overtake on some tracks, and you loose too much time.
We'll see tomorrow. As you said points are given on Sunday
