Love the horse whisperer but on this issue the message should be coming from the top, Luca and Stefano.

Forza Ferrari
Hi, Ferrari fans!
I've been following these forums since the start of the 2013 season. Sorry i didn't find soooner! Been a Ferrari fan all my life.
Here's my 2 cents on the tire changes: we shouldn't worry so much. Seems the team solved the new suspension problem. We're having more rake compared to last season's car. Also camber and toe seems a bit more since last year. So a harder compound on the rears will allow more for a further increase in camber and toe angles, witch should help on the corner exit grip = faster cornering. A similar aproach on the fronts will allow for even more mechanical grip. So if anything current announced tyre mods will make us even faster.
From my point of view FIA has succesfully destroyed the sport. Especially since they seem to take sides with some teams.
Just my 2 cents...
Ferrari must be much stronger in voicing their objections! I think Dietrich is FULL OF Mateschitz! Red Bull is an upstart team, a nobody team and yet they are trying to guide this sport of Formula One!? They should know their place and just shut up!
Ciao,
Forza Ferrari!!!!
The changes may benefit us that extra bit but it may also allow the RB9 to unleash its mighty pace in the hands of Seb.

Ferrari 's response from the horse whisperer? Whose response is that? It's like it's anonymous. Are we afraid of standing up? This response should have come from both Luca and Stefano and not some writer who writes stuff for Ferrari. Very disappointing team reaction. We might have class but we're not clever!
Red bull must be opening another bottle of champagne once they read this.
Ferrari should have reacted sooner and not in this fashion. Reacting in this fashion does not carry much weight. Look at red bull I thought it would be Marko saying something about this but instead it was mateschitz himself which is even more powerful. And they didn't waste time reacting. While we react to Pirelli's decision by the end of the week. Very poor. Someone's head is going to go because of this if red bull start dominating again and even if they don't it still doesn't make it right in how we handled this situation.
And there will probably be hardly any media coverage about the horse whisperer column. If Luca or Stefano said something about this the media would have picked it up for sure. But the way we have gone about it will probably stay largely unnoticed. Even Eric mentions Ferrari in his statements but where is Ferrari? Pirelli are probably thinking Ferrari aren't too dissatisfied so it's ok.

Ferrari hits out at Red Bull over Formula 1 tyre complaints
Finally Ferrari come out and say something.. Dont hold anything back.. It doesnt pay to be a pushover in this sport.
we're number one
YallaF1 got it two,
I hope this is just the base, the floor for an all guns out protest from Ferrari.
Go Ferrari, beat them all!
And now BBC.
I still think the message would have been more powerful if Luca or Stefano made those comments. Actually, Luca would be better as Stefano comes across as too nice!
Maybe, this is coming now from Ferrari now because they've received detailed data from Pirelli concerning their new tyres and aren't happy with them? I sincerely hope that isn't the case!
so are they will also change front tyres?
This is a quote from someone else BUT very instructive
I am going to put here a comparison between 2013 and 2011, that I already posted before in another thread, but I think fits better here:
Pit stop 1 Pit stop 2 Pit stop 3 Pit stop 4
Sebastian Vettel (Spanish GP 2011) Lap 9 Lap 18 Lap 34 Lap 48
Fernando Alonso (Spanish GP 2013) Lap 9 Lap 21 Lap 36 Lap 49
Total Race Time Vettel 2011: 1:39:03.301
Total Race Time Fernando 2013: 1:39:16.596
Two tenths a lap faster the 2011 Red Bull, with blown exhausts in their full glory and with Hamilton pushing Vettel to the end of the race. On the other hand, in 2013 Alonso cruising during his last stint and held back by Rosberg during the first one.
Go Ferrari, beat them all!
RB have at least accomplished one thing: they can never win this championship, because even when they do win it, the whole world will say it was Pirelli who won it and not RB.....what a pathetic little team it is...![]()
You can run like the wind, but you'll never outrun the Prancing Horse
That's exactly what I thought when I read that article.
It was Mateschitz himself who criticized Formula One because they lost in Barcelona fair and square. Luca di Montezemolo should go to the media to reply Mateschitz comments ASAP. Both championships might be lost off the track and that's unacceptable.

Mid-season tyre change in breach of regulations
Friday 17th May 2013, 15:46 by TF1T Staff

The announcement that Pirelli will tweak its tyre range in order to reduce the number of stops per race has brought with it support from some corners, but criticism from others.
Both Lotus and Ferrari are strongly against the move, and they might be in a position to block the change should they choose.
The mid-season tyre tweaks are in breach of Article 12.6.3 of the technical regulations which state: "Tyre specifications will be determined by the FIA no later than 1 September of the previous season. Once determined in this way, the specification of the tyres will not be changed during the championship season without the agreement of all competing teams."
Only two teams have made official requests to Pirelli for changes to the tyres, Red Bull and Mercedes. Some teams remain indifferent and some, as mentioned above, are against the move. Therefore unanimous agreement hasn't been sought.
Pirelli could claim the changes are being made in light of the recent tyre failures which have been a common sight. That would allow them to make changes under Article 12.5.2, regardless of what the teams want.
"If in the opinion of the appointed tyre supplier and FIA technical delegate, the nominated tyre specification proves to be technically unsuitable, the stewards may authorise the use of additional tyres to a different specification," it says.
However Pirelli have clearly stated, on several occasions, that the changes are being made in answer to the high number of stops - and not over safety concerns.
Therefore should a team decide to raise a formal protest, it's likely they will succeed in halting the planned changes for the Canadian GP in June.
I believe them as much as I believe a single word that comes out of Marko's mouth. If they are not allowed to change it then how the heck are they changing it? As far as it being a small change I belive as much as when they said initially that the 2013 tires were not that different from the year before.
we're number one
It says a lot that the two teams complaining about it are the two front team who failed at making it work. Those changes people seek from Pirelli are to the benefit of that two teams.
Bernie should have stayed out of this
