The rapidly fluctuating track temp is making this a lottery....

Well here we go into Q3
What is expected this weekend in Germany?
More of same, more of what we have come to expect from Ferrari over that past three plus years.
A car that does not qualify well and occasionally is great in the race.
What we will see in Germany, and I hope I’m wrong, is Ferrari qualifying in the third row or worse.
We will see Alonso fight his way through traffic to reach the podium.
We will see Massa hang in there for lower tier championship points.
We will see Vettel qualify the Red Bull in the first row and set sail.

    WHAT WE NEED TO SEE:
Ferrari/Alonso MUST qualify no lower than 3rd. Since Ferrari can’t produce a car that can occasionally win pole so, Alonso needs to start 3rd at the very worst. Alonso has proven that he can gather a position or two on the start. This means HE must start no worse than 3rd. He can not waste half a race working his way through traffic just to reach the podium. He must be on the Red Bull’s tail from the get go!
If this does NOT happen then expect more of the same end of season results we have seen over the past three years.

And the folks on Sky F1 were already wishing for a Mercedes and Red Bull fight for pole.
