Forza Ferrari
Hope we'll take this gamble on tomorrow.
Disappointing; 2009 to 2016...
Just came home... looking at the times from Q2, did we run in Q3 on primes?

Good position for us, we can take them on the long stint.
Brilliant move by Ferrari.
What do Ferrari know better, well I hope they start to give there drivers a better quali car.We could question every single decision Ferrari make, but I guess they do know better.
Could be a very smart move by Ferrari.
I am not questioning it all.
Just thinking LH and SV will start form 1st row on soft tires with VERY fast cars, make gap, and be comfortable to pit. At the same time Ferrari will start from 7th and 8th, could gain, but also could loose some places at the start and than start catching up. They will loose some much in time...
I hope Ferrari knows what they are doing, because our guys could have been 3-5 if they would qualify on softs. Or were we out of softs?

wait till tommorow... this is the big day...
By doing a lap on mediums we lost 1 position with our drivers (RIC), not that big sacrifice, but question is, will it be better to start on medium? Perhaps a last stint of 5-6laps on softs, depending on the race.. But, Ferrari knew they were going to do this strategy in Q3, it was not impulsive, so, perhaps there is something in this, in Spain Ferrari also planned for a 4 stopper as only team...
The Ferrari is a dream - people dream of owning this special vehicle and for most people it will remain a dream apart from for those lucky few. ~ Enzo Ferrari
At least they could give Alonso the clean side of 7th position.
Gamble, gamble, gamble
Going out on softs would have got us maybe 4th & 6th, so not too much lost but will gain advantage by going long
Can't say I'm please with the results. Now Alonso ends up on the dirty side, and I think we'll lose a lot of ground to Vettel in the opening stint even if our plan is to stop 1 time lesser.
Ferrari looks like they managed to extract some reasonable 2nd hot lap from a used soft, which gave me the impression that we were okay on tire wear.
Let's see what happens tomorrow.
Ciao tutti!
Face of Vettel after being 2nd: priceless![]()
"If I was driving for Red Bull [from 2008] probably I would have more championships, but because they were dominating between 2010 and 2014 probably I would never have driven for Ferrari. I am very happy and very proud to drive for Ferrari, all my time there.
I don't know how Ferrari and the drivers just don't crumble under the weight of expectation some of you have.
If they'd gone on softs there'd have no doubt been whinging like 'why are they going out on softs if they can't challenge for pole anyway, why aren't they thinking about tomorrow instead...'
Forza Jules
By the way, what happened to Rosberg?![]()
