Request for help with Monza info

Ciao ragazzi, may have the chance to be in Italy around Monza time and could get there for the Sunday only. Can anyone advise about the general admission ticket and whether it gives enough freedom/ viewing opportunities. Would be going with a first time GP visitor who just wants to experience the atmosphere, although I've been before but a long time ago. Any info gratefully received, so grazie in advance.

I've been many times to Monza, sat in different places and also had general admission. There are many places you can watch, Variante della roggia is a great place I think it is turn 3, inner circuit so the cars come from your left fast, then heaving breaking lots of action with cars going off track. Then of course you have got the old circuit where you can wonder around take photos etc. Went last year had a fantastic time, wanted to go this year but my son is only getting married on the Saturday what a PLONKER. If you go have a fantastic time, could be a great race for us.

Thanks mirafiori, so you think the general admission ticket would be enough, as really can't afford to splash out this time....and I would dread a Ferrari disaster! Shame you can't make it but suppose you have other priorities this time, how inconsiderate of your son!

Yeah General admission would be enough, I have sat in some great places at Monza but one of the best times was when I had a General admission ticket. Are you going with friends, and do you know where you could be staying.

I'd be going with a friend who has been subjected to my Ferrari/F1 passion for years, he's just decided he'd like to experience the atmosphere for himself and as we'd be in Lake Como area, it seemed like a feasible opportunity! Not sure it's going to work though as nothing is actually booked yet and we'd probably be staying in Menaggio so need to cross the lake, train to Lecco, change for Monza, then face the mayhem, so we're still dithering!
