I really think he was referring to himself.
Makes more sense this way...
Alonso will know how that tweet will be taken, seems all is not well inside Ferrari to me.
If Alonso wants out then hopefully he just says so and does not turn it into another McLaren.....and if Alonso does leave due to Luca then Luca needs to be thinking is he right for what Ferrari needs these days.
Forza Ferrari
His first move since Luca's ''little speech''?
higher goal...title with Ferrari?brave man does not flinch, because he has higher goals..
Meanwhile, it either says something or just nothing that Alonso, Schumacher and Raikkonen have reputedly spared a F1 podium on five occasions and Fernando has stood on the top step on every occasion. He's F1's first among equals. (PG)
I think so too. His samurai quotes has always been about him following the strategy of a samurai warrior. Probably he's just saying one should focus on the championship hunt and not what's being said by others, considering that a lot has been said regarding him and Ferrari since Hungary, starting with the Red Bull rumor.
By the way, Alonso also twitted this:
So, seems to me Alonso is not trying to show any displeasure against anyone in Ferrari, he's still focused on the title right now,@alo_oficial 1h
Llega la segunda parte del campeonato...
Second part of the championship begins..

Bring the title home Alonso, that is all that matters.
The higher goal would be the wdc...but the fact that he says he was insulted shows that
Luca's words stung a bit. Too bad..he's a great racer and for that reason Id hate to see him leave.
If they ARE having a war of words, subtle as it may seem, in public, things are def not well inside.
Mabey Luca should ring up Michael and Rubens.....
For all we know he could be referring to some idiotic and hateful comments that some people have been making over the past few days all overthe internet, and not to any Ferrari-related issues. It sounds a bit like the samurai version of "haters are gonna hate"!
Or maybe he just likes the quote, an it is totally unrelated to anything...
How could he turn it into "another McLaren"? Has Ferrari been staling data from other teams and then been under investigation by the FIA? Has LdM called Todt to spill the beans about an internal verbal fight with a driver that could end up in information on such investigation being officially requested from the Ferrari drivers?
So where did all the McLaren stories come from? Did Alonso not request a FIA observer in his garage after he accused McLaren of tampering with his tyre pressures in qual? Renault he accused them of favouring Trulli at one point (cause Trulli was beating him).
Forza Ferrari
I have no idea what that means.
Don't play dumb with me. I'm better at it than you are.
As far as I know, no, he did not request a FIA observer; it was the Spanish FIA representative, and there is no evidence whatsoever that Alonso was behind such request. Here you have Mosley himself explaining why they did it http://www.formula1.com/news/intervi...7/10/7014.html . I personally think that Carlos Gracia (chairman of the Spanish autosport federation) is a bit of an idiot, by the way - as if a FIA observer could identify any shady issues had the team wanted to carry them out and conceal them! This is what Alonso had to say about it: http://www.autosport.com/news/report.php/id/63390
"Alonso sees no need for FIA observer
"I don't agree with that decision but it is not up to us," Alonso replied when asked if he was comforted by the FIA's decision.
"I think if they decide to do that it is okay but I think we don't need anything like that in the garage."
The tyre pressure tampering - do you have any actual quotes of Alonso stating such a thing? All I have seen is a number of journalists saying that he did, but not one original source. This is the only quote I could find regarding that matter, from the same article quoted above: "In China I think I was disappointed with qualifying performance and I felt (it was a) very strange result after Q1 and Q2, after being close to fighting for pole for Q3, but I realised tyre pressures were too high and this can happen in qualifying. It was coincidence and a bit of bad luck."
As for he accusing the team of favouring Trulli, again, could you please provide the quotes? You see, I have found out over the past years that people keep on repeating mantras about Alonso till they become "common knowledge", but in fact when one wants to dig out the original quotes they simply do not exist. I am not categorically saying that this is the case, only that I have never seen such quotes - I will be happy to accept I am wrong if shown them.
Seems like a lot of stuff is not going well internally at Ferrari right now....
Rest in Peace Leza, you were a true warrior...
It is the media's constant interference and their opinion of the truth (that proves to be their own lies all the time) that just leave a constant bad taste in one's mouth. Drivers are not just now, but as long as i can remember just attacked or slandered with opinions formed about drivers with the lies or distorted truth of the media.
Forget the whole Ferrari is as guilty as Merc stories earlier in the year.(that was also just horrible shoddy reporting) DC began, the whole Alonso might be off to another team, because it was his opinion, his fantasy, but not based on facts or discussions with anybody in the know. And just look how far has that fib been carried into the year and tails did the story get.
Somehow thru all this, I feel that Ferrari next race is going to come out swinging.
We gonna be right back in it.
Another crap storm from a harmless tweet, oh dear,
I follow Fernando on twitter and there are lot of people insulting him on twitter !But those comments are deleted after some time! Just go to his twitter and look what some idiot wrote under this tweet that we are talking about!
It's clear that he is referring to Luca here. He's basically saying he has more important things to do and therefore needs to stay focussed rather than quarrel with the boss. Incredible that our beloved team has got to this stage when it could have been avoided. Very worrying.
I interpret it as meaning brave men don't care if they're insulted, they just keep their eyes on prize. In other words, he's ignoring any insults that come his way. I don't think this is directed toward Luca, because he wasn't really insulted, just criticized constructively (depending on your perspective). Also Luca's comments were how long ago? I doubt he would be responding 3 weeks later.
Disappointed Since 2010
Whole ' samurai ' thing started when Alonso and Ferrari fought against Vettel and Red Bull during 2012 ! Whole time ' enemy ' of samurai Alonso were Red Bull and Vettel and every time samurai metaphor was for Fernando a way to find inner strength to win championship! So i will repeat it again enemy of samurai is always Red Bull and Vettel! This insult Alonso is taking about is Red Bull lie that he was trying to get Red Bull seat !
