Here's how I feel it would be translated.

Quote - "The Warrior that uses the sword when is insulted can not be considered brave".

Translated - I will not respond badly to Luca's comments.

Quote - "Brave man does not flinch."

Translated - I take onboard his comments, but move on without issue and stay focussed.

Quote - "Because he has higher goals"

Translated - We want to win the WDC.

    Effectively:

"We are a team, we are focussed and determined and want to win the WDC".

That's how I see it, anyway.

I may be wrong, but i think that 'insult' thing hasn't got anything to do with the LdM.
When did Luca insult Fernando and what did he say to insult him ?

I agree. All Luca did was remind him that the great Ferrari drivers of the past put the team before themselves. Luca's comments are old news anyway.

I remember watching an interview with Eric Cantona when he was asked about his various bizarre quotes, most famously the seagulls following the boat one, he said he just made it up on the spot and it had no hidden meaning, actually it had no meaning at all, but it just really amused him when newspaper reporters guessed at what he meant, maybe there is no deep hidden meaning to Alonso's quote and it doesn't need to be analysed endlessly, maybe it's just a quote he liked or maybe he googled samurai quote of the day and that was it...

So basically what you are saying is that his comment could very well be a reply to those insulting him on Twitter, rather than any type of obscure reference to anything that is going on in Ferrari.

That would actually make much more sense than all the crazy interpretations of his sentence that I am reading everywhere!

bla bla bla " Sorry my dear, what was that?" bla bla bla "Hum"

He's saying as mentioned above that is focused, no more no less.

"I cannot judge what he did in his time at Renault and McLaren but I have worked with World Champions Schumacher, Villeneuve and Raikkonen and Fernando is the one who impresses me the most," said Gene.

If Alonso wants out then hopefully he just says so and does not turn it into another McLaren.....and if Alonso does leave due to Luca then Luca needs to be thinking is he right for what Ferrari needs these days.
Completely agree with everything that's been said there.

Yes but Luca did this on Alonso's birthday. Why do it on his birthday for? Why not do it on another day? Maybe Alonso found that insulting to hear that on his birthday. I don't know about you or the others but I would find it insulting if someone said something along the lines of that in public on my birthday. I wouldn't find that amusing.

I don't much care for what LDM said but surely the fact that it was on his birthday shouldn't really bother Alonso. It certainly wouldn't bother me. I do understand and accept that we are all different though.

Are you are implying that Luca is a nobody to Alonso? I don't think that is the case. Far from it. Both respect each other a lot but when one of them says something like that it shows that the respect is under strain. Imagine it is your birthday party and your boss reminds you in front of all your friends, family and colleagues those sorts of things when you've been working so hard in your job since day 1 and it wouldn't bother you?

No it wouldn't. I'm 39 years old. It's not like Alonso is having a party where they are all sat around playing pass the parcel, musical chairs and playing twister followed by some jelly. These are two grown men.

They have both said some silly things but if it's become more of an issue because it was Fernando's birthday then that is my daft in my opinion.

Fernando's a big boy who is also getting a big paycheck. His birthday was 3 weeks ago. I doubt that is what's on his mind a few days from Spa. I think everyone is blowing this out of proportion.

I think Nando just gave the wild pack of dogs something else to chase. And thats all.
For all we know, they are having a good laugh about it in Maranello reading all the speculative meanings of that tweet.

So i will repeat it again enemy of samurai is always Red Bull and Vettel! This insult Alonso is taking about is Red Bull lie that he was trying to get Red Bull seat !

Trouble in paradise, it seems. Hopefully that will signal the end of his Ferrari drive. Rather have a slightly less quick driver who is not a internal politics player than him on board. Sooner or later, Vettel will come in and we will all be celebrating a WDC and a WCC.

Please back up your claims that Alonso is an internal politics player

Even if he was, doing it inside and away from the media is the correct thing to do, do we believe Vettel is not pulling the internal strings at Red Bull? Lewis at Merc? MS when he was at Ferrari? some people maybe are just still bitter that Alonso beat MS in 2006

What I find strange is that you accuse Alonso of playing internal politics and then talk about Vettel coming in. Multi-21 fiasco all forgotten?
