I'm willing to bet there was a conversation to "clear the air" rather than one that involved "apologies" from anyone!!

Exactly!! They probably haven't spoken since the rapture and probably both parties wanted to clear the air and see if they can work together again. Then different fans can make their own version of it as they do but in the end its just smart to meet once, see that everythings OK and move forward.

I would suggest that, considering there is a contract signed by BOTH parties, they are BOTH confident of a good working relationship!!

I am curious to know how many kimibots you think there are on this forum,
since by definition of how they have been described I'd think they are all
    kicked out by now.

    Neh?

Well I imagine all those rushing to join a Ferrari forum when Kimi is still at Lotus are probably the more fanatical fan.

I dont know about fanatical but yes, ofcourse it stirs an interest. You here probably know more than any other forum of what is to be expected and on the other side Massa was somebody a lot of Kimi-fans got to know and love during Kimis last stint. If you're a Alonso fan you probably checked the cyckling team...it's only natural to be interrested.

But risking being banned I am a little bit disapointed how the influx of Kimi fans was handled, too many bans and a lot of hostility

When they mostly come in slagging Ferrari, Alonso etc then how do you expect to be welcomed to a Ferrari forum?

If you read our forum rules and respect them then you have no risk of being banned, no matter how many times you wish to claim it, which seems rather strange to me.

I do recall some sensible Kimi fans coming in here, and nicely introducing themself and said they are here to support the driver and the team. We haven't heard much from them most likely because right now, Kimi isn't driving for Ferrari yet, he's still a competitor.

The more vocal ones unfortunately have the tendency to bash our drivers, the team, or the community here. So if the community here seem hostile against Kimi fans, that's because you're only seeing these few vocal Kimi fans who shows negativity towards our drivers and team. No matter how much some Kimi fans may dislike Alonso, he's a Ferrari driver and if you're going to make negative remarks about him here, then of course we're not going to like it not because we're all Alonso fan, but because he's a Ferrari driver.

Everytime when a lot of people at one time entered this forum a lot of them get banned very soon. Because unfortunatly always many new members just didnīt realise that hostility isnīt wellcome here.
The fact that most new members who arrived during the last days here are Kimi fans, must make it seem for the new members as if Kimi fans are not welcome here, but only the hostile members get banned and itīs just a normal reaction here if many people enter the forum to prevent this from becomming a hostile place, itīs just a coincident they are mostly Kimi fans, because they are the ones to enter now.

Sorry bout taking it as an issue too many times but as I said in the introductiontread I didn't even want to start posting in the beginning as there was to much kimibot hostility. But yes, you are right, we all need to get along and I hope I'm accepted here at some point

This is an ideal line up! Both drivers will push each other! Im hoping it will work out for the better just like what the mercedes guys are doing. I know it will be tough but for as long as we bring back both the WDC AND WCC championships ill be very happy!

Thank you to Felipe for the years of service to the team!
may the FORZA FERRARI BE WITH YOU!!!!!

    I do hope you're generalizing, which can be useful, at times;
however, it can be unfair if taken to the extreme.

Just saying you can't categorize everyone neatly all the time!

Why do "we" have to be fanatical? I'm a Kimi supporter and will be one no matter what team he is on. That does not mean I'm crazy. Granted, I have not read these outrageous posts people are talking about, but the mood towards Kimi and his fans on this forum seems puzzling. The term kimibot, or whatever it is, and calling people names will not make the discussion any better.

It is quite natural that previous and present Scuderia forum writers are mainly supporting present Ferrari driver line up. However I suppose a growing amount of Kimis supporters will join discussion before season 2014, just like I have done:). Supporting Your favorite team and driver is one thing, dismissing someone or something else is another issue.

In a way I feel a bit sorry for Massa, but in the end of day, Ferrari and Montezemolo did the call in the best interest of the team, so what can I say...

Intra team philosophy with two roosters in the henhouse, is a huge change compared to previous mind set with one prefered and one supporting driver. This will raise the game at Ferrari to a higher level. It was a brave move to sign up the strongest pairing on the grid. Ferrari will be in the focus next Year both competing with the entire field, but also because of the intra team battle. I can't hardly wait for it to begin.

Yes, this is exactly how you guys can support Kimi without the need to show negativity towards other drivers

It was rather unfortunate that some of the first few Kimi fans who showed up here decided to show negativity towards our current drivers. All sensible fans of Kimi such as Petronius are more than welcome to join us here.

What we don't need is those kind of fans I saw on Ferrari's Facebook page, where they somehow felt the need to insult Alonso as they were chanting for Kimi.

All Kimi fans/supporters are welcome to the forum. The term 'Kimibot' used here often is not insulting these Kimi fans. The issue that most of the members or moderators have with those Kimi fans who come here & insult Alonso, LdM, call Massa Alonso's pet & so on..
I don't know why they need to bash Alonso while praising Kimi, is it insecurity?, I don't know.
No Alonso fan here has bashed Kimi, so I don't know why it can't be vice-versa
It's ok to support your favorite driver but there is no need to insult other team members

    Welcome Kimi.
    Hope you win the championship,
Oh no I said this before he's even at Ferrari i guess it's ok,as Kubica still has a thread and has never even had a contract with Ferrari

I welcome all the new Kimi fans, I don's see them bashing Ferrari

Yes ofcourse, because for you one part of Ferrari has retired & other part is released. No wonder you don't see any Ferrari bashing

I think Katu has a different point of view about that

It will be VERY interesting to see what happens here starting next year when each faction can't openly bash the other anymore. Time to stock on popcorn and fizzy drinks. Or perhaps skip the fizzy drinks.

I have been reading Katu's posts, I think like most of us, she has no problem with Kimi, but her issue is with some Kimi fans (not all of them) who just don't understand that supporting their driver should not unnecessarily include bashing the team & other team members.

I am a Alonso fan but I think Kimi is an asset to any team & I respect his speed & his class. I am more than happy seeing him in Red

This place can be calm & peaceful if we all support & enjoy our team/drivers without including any negativity

The "negativity" comes in when we label or categorize each other!
Out of respect, we should try to avoid that!
