Why would those photos suggest Vettel was going to Ferrari in 2016? Am I missing something?

I'm sure Ferrari are planning something with Vettel:

Last week La Gazzetta mentioned there was a meeting between Domenicali and Newey at Monza on the Thursday. I suspect one of Vettel's demands is that Newey comes with him.

Having said that, I'm not sure Vettel to Ferrari will happen. The last four Red Bull cars have made Vettel look almost perfect as a driver. But what happens when he loses the superior aero, superior EBD, perfect balance and amazing traction? Vettel is no doubt a great driver but next year he will lose his "invincibility" and I think Ferrari will lose interest in him.

I think Bianchi is the next Ferrari driver.

I don't want Vettel at our team to be honest! I know he is a very good driver but I don't like he is still acting like a child!

Is Stefano checking out Horner's tie in the 2nd Horner picture?

Anyway, Luca DM have spoke highly of Vettel many times, similar to how he always praised Alonso. It wouldn't surprise me if he is planning on getting Vettel someday.

What we supposed to take from these pictures? Doesnt mean nothing, doesnt mean Stefano trying to get him to join in 2016. Yet just trying to make a fire where there is no smoke.

Anyway, Fernando may still drive in 2017, he said it maybe option.

That's what I thought.. Somewhat unlikely!!

Could see VET replacing ALO in the future AFTER everyone has seen the relative performance of the teams under the 2014 regs..

well rumours are that if replacing Felipe with Kimi doesn't have good consequences, next to go is Stefano... so maybe he is looking for himself a new job, not what drivers he would like to see in Ferrari when he might not lead Ferrari anymore
not gonna change my profile picture

Well those pics don't exactly prove anything (people from different teams talk to each other all the time), but I do believe that that VET to Ferrari thing will happen someday for sure. It's only a matter of time. I think it's the worst kept secret in F1. I just hope he gets all those girlish screams out of his system at RB and won't do that anymore when he comes to Ferrari.
    KEEP CALM AND LOVE FERRARI

Maybe he will come one day. But remember what he said in an interview before the race in Budapest this year, he directly said he loved Ferrari as his idol (Micheal Schumacher) used to wear red. But he also said that things have changed, he is happy to wear blue, can't imagine of leaving the team.

And moreover, these pictures, except Vettel and Stefano togather, looks like edited in adobe photoshop.

Also, I forgot, Stefano tried to make deal with both Vettel and Webber many times before, just to replace Massa. Unfortunately, both of them rejected every time they were asked. So, Vettel to Ferrari is almost next to impossible for the time being. But as time will go, things can change. Ferrari is improving after all. He might come to this team.

I clearly remember in 1995 when LDM said that MS is great driver in the world but Ferrari is satisfied with their current line up - JA and GB. What happen next...? MS joined Ferrari next year, and rest is the history...

So when Stefano visits a Zoo and someone makes a picture we will have a chimp in the Ferrari

If I am correct, Alonso has a contract with us for 2016 and Kimi for 2015. It possible that in both papers the last year is optional both ways. Stefano has been strongly tied to the success of Kimi since it was him that pushed LdM to hire him, LdM has told that himself.

I can see that once the pecking order has been established during 2014, the top drivers start looking again at their options. Next year is a kind of a reset with all the changes so I expect some big moves for 2015 also and that may include Vettel if the car (RBR) isn't creme de la creme anymore.

im so sick of these big vettel rumours. trust me, without newey Vettel will be nothing special. knowing his luck by 2016 we might actually learn to design a fast car.

Does Stefano think Ferrari's weakest link is the driver lineup or what? Alonso alone would wipe the floor with Vettel. Why are they interested in Vettel?

    It makes no sense.

This is more logical. Both Nando and Kimi, in equal equipment, will beat Vettel IMO. Perhaps in most peoples opinion. What sense is there to get him in now. I can understand if they are thinking of 2016 or later.
besides, as someone else mentioned, we still havent seen what Vettel can do on a consistent basis if newey is not building his cars. There is a question mark there, and it wont go away so easy.

At some point Mr Vettel will drive for Ferrari. If it is from 2016 onwards or later we will see.

First of all, there would be absolutely nothing strange about Ferrari wanting Vettel. He's a three (point seventy-five)-time world champion and undoubtedly one of the top drivers of the modern F1 era. Forget about this thing that Newey won the championships, yes the cars he designed are superb but Vettel did his part magnificently.

Second, and most importantly, there are no surprises in these pictures, it's how paddock life works, and these things happen all the time, on and off stage. The media are looking for the next Ferrari rumour, now that the Felipe/Kimi one has been sorted out.

Well said, a lot can happen over the next 2 years. With big rule changes for next year Vettel could be no where, we could well be the best team on the grid, and if that happens, Vettel, Newey, could be BEGGING us for a position at Ferrari, and Ferrari should offer Vettel a job as test driver, and offer Newey nothing, between him and his wife, they once said they did not like Italy, a huge insult to a great nation, so for me he can stay away.

That's the day the music dies ...
"If I was driving for Red Bull [from 2008] probably I would have more championships, but because they were dominating between 2010 and 2014 probably I would never have driven for Ferrari. I am very happy and very proud to drive for Ferrari, all my time there.

And what are the guaranties that Ferrari is going to be dominant next year and RB won't? Except from our pure wishes!

Have some faith in Ferrari, stefa I know Iam maybe too optimistic but I Always tell my friends before the beginning of the season (around the first test sessions) already that we are going to be champion that year and Iam really confident at the time I say that! The last years I wasn't right in my prediction but I have to be right at some time I guess
