You wouldn't get laid off for finishing in 3rd. People always make this argument, but I'm sure you work with a good deal of incompetent people. It's very hard to fire people unless they are a CEO etc. Especially in the more liberal Europe.
If we are returning to an age where we struggle to improve so be it. Your posting here won't fix it, especially in the Technical Thread. I come here to see pictures about updates and the better more technical members of our forum share and explain their knowledge. Not to read the never ending doom and gloom.
You don't get the point of Ferrari. It is more important to be able to watch a race with the beautiful red cars than it is for those red cars to win.
Forza Ferrari!!
Hard to fire people? I would love to live where you do.
We finished where we finished thanks to Alonso. Without him, we would be novhere near the top places. Year after year, we haev the same problems apearing and this time we even failed to build a decent engine. After all this push from Ferrari to F1 becomeing the engine formula again.
Ferrari is there to win, what are you talking about? You are in F1 to win! Even the leaders do say that. If you wanted to watch a beautiful red cars, you would not be watching F1, you would be sanding on the streets of Mranello.
I just won't be satisfied with mediocrity. But that's probably just me I guess.
IF YOU CAN DREAM IT, YOU CAN DO IT - ENZO FERRARI
We changed engine cover in Quali.
Also changed from open ended to revised wheelnut solution (both doing blowing, I guess)

Looks like we haven't found the performance we were lookin for wid the new aero updates brought here.
The new FW trialed by Alonso in FP1 didnt make it to Quali sim. I guess they will be further revising it and left it for the tests later here.

Just wondering what happened in the last 3 weeks...
You do realize Ferrari promised nothing out of this world in terms of performance upgrade for this race. Wait another month.![]()

Montezemolo: Ferrari new in Canada
Envoy Autosprint in Barcelona (Spain): Alberto Antonini
There will be another Ferrari for the Canadian Grand Prix next June.
A promise it is none other than Luca di Montezemolo , who arrived in Barcelona to stay close to his team. "There are so many things to do," said the President , who is now much more involved in the practical management of the team . "Even in the relationship with suppliers, for example: Formula One new things have to get right, not in ten days. "
Do not just come once the new version of the F14 T , but there will be a lot to expect. "Here in Spain there is something new in Monte Carlo do not believe that it is worthwhile to take a lot, but in Canada we have something." There is also talk of changes important enough to "power unit" , to the extent permitted by the regulations . In addition to this, a long list of new aerodynamic .
Montezemolo also attended the meetings on cost reduction , but did not lead to permanent solutions. "It seems that someone does not convince you to cut costs before a team fails. We are opposed to the "cost cap", the roof of the costs, because we believe we can not control. But if today's exchange rate, for example, are all the same, why not adopt the same for everyone. "

CAVALLINO RAMPANTE PER SEMPRE
Very risky move by Luca to make such promises. Now if there won't be a significant improvement in Canada then there could be a lot of disappointment and people saying "but Luca said that there would be a big improvement...". On the other hand if Luca can make such big promises then that must mean that he's feeling confident about Ferrari being much better in Canada and if it turns out to be true then that would be simply fantastic.![]()
KEEP CALM AND LOVE FERRARI
I know this isn't related to F14 T, but just had to share this video. It seems Red Bull are back to their dirty aero tricks.
I don't think so. Its just a more revised version, and is still doing blowing, albeit through smaller channel. I think Red Bull's front wheel hub is closer to Ferrari's current iteration in many aspects.

That RedBulls intake channel looks way smaller/ less draggy than ours.

How that moving aero part is supposed to be legal?
I think we are at the stage where we can take risks cause season is over.
First of all, how hard is it to ditch the front pullrod and try/test push rod at front ?
We dont have anything to lose, why not try. The front of our car looks too stiff/non compliant, and i think this is affecting stability at the rear/whole car.
For those of you who dont think it will make any differnce fine, but it is a controvrsial aspect of our car that we could try the theory on. If I'm wrong, then so be it, but we wont know unless we give it a go. How much worse could we get ?
In fact how many issues have we had since we switched to rear pullrod, also been a disaster.
so the thing quoted at the start of the page does not sound so far fetched after qualifying does it ?
I wonder if the bet is still on....and I get the last laughter as well. nice.![]()
With limited testing, the team cannot afford to randomly change things just to see what happens. A major difference between push rod and pull rod is it's aero characteristic, so they will have to redesign many minor aero details, and those require CFD and windtunnel usage, which are limited due to cost cutting.
Therefore testing any idea is basically making a bet. If the idea isn't beneficial, that's a bunch of CFD and windtunnel usage the team won't get back and there will be lesser resources left to find a solution.
Ya, it is (although its childish anyways). I wont go back on my word. Remind me after the season ends where F14 T stands relative to other Mercs customer teams & Lotus. By the way, its not the time yet for last laughter, and I am pretty sure I will be one doing so at your comments.
Possible, and can anyone confirm which race it is (China) ?

Interview on pitlane from itaian tv. Alonso said we are working on a new car for 2015. There is nothing to do this year. Season over for Ferrari.
Every team is working on 2015 car. It does not mean they are not working on F14-T too.
Why not?
Regarding the race, it shows you why Red Bull aren't there with Mercedes yet. Its Renault PU. If it was Mercs PU, they would have still been the benchmark here. I hope it bugs Deiter at night seeing Vettel put in the fastest lap of the race. His team ain't invincible yet.![]()
