Tombazis is the person to be kicked out from the team..... I might be wrong but from my point of view he has failed us with his stupid design. No innovation no new design...Didn't he? People keep talking about this guy, about that guy and blah blah blah but actually we forgot who is our current chief designer after Mr Costa been sacked? You know what i am thinking. I would like to see Mr Brawn become our TP, Mr Bob Bell as CD, Mr Allison as TD and Mr Fry as Race Track Director and I believe they can bring back our glorious days like once before.... just my opinion. Forgive me if i'm wrong.....Forza Ferrari.........![]()
So are we bringing b spec car in Canada or not?
that's what ALL US hopeless fans want to believe...but something tells me there won't any such thing and taht it was just some fan's fantasy....LOL
i personally think that we'll have some updates and hopefully they'll work and NOT be some DOWNGRADES as we've seen in the past, BUT as far as a SPEC B car, i HIGHLY doubt it...
but hey maybe Ferrari will prove me wrong, bring a SPEC B car to canada and blow everybody out of the water including the UNBEATABLE Mercedes
Forza Ferrari SEMPRE!!!
Another discussion about Mercedes advantage.

Before the Spanish Grand Prix, the paddock rumor was that ferrari will bring massive updates (new nose, engine cover, side pods, FW/RW, new floor and PU upgrade worth 15 HP).
After the race I thought maybe we might try them out during testing. ..... wishful thinking I guess.
Then I hear ferrari plans to bring updates race by race. So in a way, there won't be any B-spec car any time soon. But it is worth to note that Renault has clearly taken a step forward with their P/U and what is holding them back is their reliability. Hope ferrari to sort themselves out before renault does.
What is really disappointing is that Lotus, Williams and Red Bull have been able to develop their car faster than Ferrari. Lotus did not even have a car during winter testing, and now they are as fast or faster than Ferrari, even with Grosjean driving vs. Alonso.
There didn't appear to be any breakthrough development tested this week. If there is no "B" spec car coming, then that pit rig looks like being the big development of the season.
Ferrari needs ALL of the updates to be delivered at the same time. Doing it one race at a time just wont get the job done. Mercedes has been untouchable since OZ, and they have brought more updates, race-by-race, than Ferrari have. Every engine maker will have a reliable PU by Canada. The problem is that the Ferrari PU will be reliably bad.
Agreed.
I also find that Ferrari has been rather quiet, almost about everything since the beginning. Meanwhile renault has been releasing information about the progress on their PU almost every two weeks. Not that ferrari has to follow the same path, but I see a marked improvement in their PU to back their claims, which is worrying. Even grosjean qualified ahead of us....
Perhaps they just don't know what the exact cause of the problems is and as a result do not know how to correct it.![]()
"Leave the gun. Take the cannoli."
I just don't get this, if they know what the problems are then surely they have the technical people to be able to sort it out. If it is unsovable, it doesn't say much for the original design or the people Ferrari have brought in to make us winners again. We need to throw every possibe effort into getting the problems sorted NOW, not race by race. Autosprint (Italian mag) insists there could be a B-spec F14-T for Canada if LdM gets his way, but easier said than done by the look of it. God help us.
As it was mentioned in the Montmelo test thread, maybe Ferrari is trying to turn up the wick on the engine which resulted in Rai's engine blowing up (was it even an ICE issue?). If that's the case, they could use that as a "reliability" argument to bolt new parts on it that make it 'reliably' more powerful..

Pitlanetalk informations:
Our sources saying Ferrari are preparing an engine boost for Canada which they tested in Spain. Aero updates delayed until Austria.
Shell working closely with the engine dep. of Ferrari to stabilize a new fuel solution that will improve their performance for Canada.
Power delivery a concern for the Italians however, MGU-K and MGU-H still not running in perfect correlation.
oh, GOD i hope not....whatever engine boost they tried in Spain, BLEW up our engine in smoke as reports/rumors say that they had to change the engine in Kimi's car after the SMOKE show
...or maybe we're planning on having a good SMOKE SHOW for the Canadians...LOL i'll be there for the GP and hopefully NONE of that nonesense and some good performance by FERRARI.
Forza Ferrari SEMPRE!!!
This doesn't sound very reassuring. They're still having problems with the driveability and power delivery aspect of the PU with seemingly no solution or solid timescale in place to the solution. We keep hearing that they will find a solution by this race or that race but it keeps getting pushed further and further behind. We are basically falling even further behind. So Shell will bring another new upgraded fuel mixture to Canada with the first new one seen in China. So it's case of being thankful to Shell rather than Ferrari as Marko pointed it out post China race. At first I thought it was just a subtle dig at Ferrari but it's true. Until we sort our PU problems there will be no major aero upgrade. Our PU problems are having a tremendous knock on effect on our development programme. This is a poor effort from Ferrari. I really expected better than this. Fans of course hoped and expected better but that is not all even our rivals expected better from us. A big letdown if you ask me.
It would be funny if Alonso does the ear tweaking!
Jokes aside how is he going to handle the situation in Canada? Is he setting himself up to resign or what? He will lose credibility now. It's understandable to make bullish statements at the start of the year. It's typically what presidents and CEOs of companies do as they have to inspire confidence for the purposes of shareholders, board of directors, lenders, sponsors, etc. But this one is uncalled for. It will be interesting to see how this unfolds.
So Ferrari's research and development department is called Shell Oil!
I hope that this doesn't mean that Ferrari will be behind for the life of the new PU formula. How or will Ferrari recover?
I think that may very well be the issue. I think there is a knock-on effect form the front suspension which has prevented Ferrari from getting good mechanical grip that is predictable and works well across all tire selections. That has been a consistent problem since the switch was made. It means that the team have to try to compensate for poor mechanical grip by introducing more aero grip, i.e. downforce. And that starts the downforce/drag dilemma.
Front pull rod was pat fry"s ideea; I'm most then 100% sure that James Allison will change that for 2015 and yet again pat loser FRY will yet get demoted or better yet fired come 2015
From what I can see front pull rod was a failure from get go
So until we design a car with front PUSH ROD we will always be hindered by lack of mechanical grip
Forza Ferrari SEMPRE!!!
