Thanks for the replies, I agree, no true wing until final tests (or even later - in Australia), just trying to get more familiar with the aero concepts. Right now I look at all these cars, ours & competitors, I can tell what pleases my eyes, but have very little knowledge of what they've accomplished for air handling! Probably need to google the subject for a somewhat basic primer, ahhhh, more research!
It amazes me how some on here can spot so many of the subtle changes, seemingly with ease, hats off to you "eagle eyes"

Explains why we have no deep undercuts bellow our side pods like everyone else and like we had last year. We're not planing on getting air around the sidepods at the very bottom of the floor by using the air that goes under the nose and threw turning vanes, were going around a bit higher mid part of the sidepods in a unique way by using the nose and the front nose cameras. Hats down for Ferrari

    EDIT:

Look at the placement and the curvature of our nose cameras compared to McLaren. They're exactly where the air from our flat nose detaches, so we're definitely using them to direct air in a way that we haven't seen on anyone yet. So rather sure that the nose will stay, since it looks like that it's well thought out. Would guess, with the nose lowered by the regs this year, this might be the next best thing to do unlike McLaren, Lotus, Williams and FI that are trying to stick to the old methods of last year (getting air under the nose, even though now you cant get much in there).

It could be,but it does not explain completely the middle zone of the nose, the area is still too crucial,i think we will see a strong evolution there too.

I'm waiting for Scarbs to post a full review somewhere... hopefully not Autosport premium, lol. If anyone else come across any analysis articles, please do share with us here.

Well, I don't know if that's what we are actually doing, It just poped to me when I was looking at the 3d image, so I wanted to share my idea

Quick question, wouldn't the nose of the F14T make it easier to get underneath of a car that the driver is trying to overtake? From a safety standpoint, wouldn't this type of design make it easier for the car in front to be pushed up and possibly on to one of the Ferrari drivers??

That may be true. I guess it depends on how easily the front section breaks if it crash into another car, since the nose cone is designed to be a crash structure that easily crumples and break up in a direct impact. If it could survive sliding underneath a car, it may be dangerous

Call me nuts but I have a feeling this is the winning car we've been looking for.

It was stated (it's here somewhere) that the big amount of black at the rear is to hide as much as possible from the competitors. So I am happy about that.
