Not getting paid makes my back hurt every time!
Should we have another thread for Kimi 's back ?
Hi fellow tifosi, my first post here.. was wondering if any new rear bodywork update will be visible on f14 t for bahrain test
. Also if u guyz noticed RB10's exhaust positioning and the radiator exits at da back, its pretty different to wat most teams have atm leading to a very tight coke bottle area
.Is it to exploit the low heat dispensation/rejection characterestic renault engines have ( V8s certainly had them, which other engine manufacterer's couldn't cause of development freeze
)

if this is true...... ok great. But I wonder why only ferrari engine details are being leaked. I mean we never heard any details about Merc. So is it our engine is really innovative or Merc is keeping things close to its chest![]()
Hold on, early times, we still don't know if ours is the better one.
Long story short: No secrets are being leaked and the article says things all our rivals already know. Remi Taffin from Renault said 3 weeks ago that teams will cut the injection to increase driveabilty and fuel efficiency this was if I remember correctly during acceleration so what Ferrari has done is to implement it during de-acceleration.
What makes me a bit worried is that if we don't get any exhaust gasses through the exhaust we can't blow the monkey seat. Also is this going to affect the engine braking or brake by wire?
What teams (Mercedes) are doing as I understand it is that they are blipping the throttle (sounds like off throttle sound 2010-13) during braking to harvest energy through MGU-H and by braking they harvesting the kinetic energy through MGU-K and mid corner they are spinning the turbo up to right boost pressure using the MGU-H so that the driver has the power at the exit of the turn.
But Ferrari does not blip the throttle so they are probably discharging straight from the energy store to the MGU-H to spin the turbo.
I don't know which is best but our solution seems to be the most efficient if I assume that we have excess energy stored and don't need to blow the monkey seat.
I'm really starting to get an idea of how complex these ERS are, there is so much that has to work in harmony.
Adrian Newey has confirmed that the Renault power unit have a "particularly large cooling requirement"
No surprise there is itAnyway feels good that he says it, fingers crossed that it will take long time to solve although I would prefer to beat them on raw speed, only time will tell.

Spot on. Surely they should have known this.

I was watchin ted's notebook and in an interview James Allison told he was pretty sure where the car needs to be changed.Any opinion on what change he was alluding to and whether its gonna be introuced in Bahrain?
Motorsport Monday says Pat Fry is leaving Ferrari : http://digital.motorsportmonday.com/...f047ee&pnum=10
I hope this isn't true.![]()
Which car is this??
And what devices are on it, anyone knows?

I think they are referring to Pat Symonds
The Ferrari F60 and Marc Gené star in South Africa
Soweto, 15 February –Excitement and spectacle were the order of the day as Scuderia Ferrari returned to South Africa, for its first street demo of 2014, featuring the F60 and test driver Marc Gene, in the Soweto suburb of Johannesburg. The event was part of the launch of Shell V-Power Nitro+ fuel onto the South African market and a motor show set up on the streets around Soccer City, the stadium that hosted the 2010 football World Cup Final. A 1480 metre long track had been created on which Gene put on a show in the morning and again in the afternoon, doing several laps and thrilling the crowd with drag starts and breathtaking slides.
Thousands of spectators turned out to see the car that raced in the 2009 Formula 1 World Championship, rush past just metres away from them. They were clearly amazed by the noise from the eight cylinder Ferrari 056 engine, running at over 17,000 rpm. The street demo was rounded off with a series of pit stops carried out by the F1 Clienti crew, who put on a skillful show of the tasks that are normally carried out in the pit lane. There was an enjoyable break between the two Formula 1 show runs, with a parade of road going Ferraris organised by Viglietti, the importer for the Maranello marque in South Africa. Leading them was a 458 Italia, again driven by Gene.
“That was a great day,” Marc said to www.ferrari.com. “It’s always fun to bring a Formula 1 car up close to the people, which is something that never happens at a Grand Prix. I am pleased to have been able to do this for the South African people, especially the youngest ones, to show them the excitement of these types of car that haven’t been seen in this country for a while.” Before leaving Soweto, Marc also visited the stadium where his fellow Spaniards had won the 2010 World Cup. The President of Soccer City, Jacques Grobbelaar, also gave him a photo of that game in which Spain defeated Holland.

CAVALLINO RAMPANTE PER SEMPRE
They would have designed the car to satisfy the cooling requirements Renault gave them.
What might have happened?
1 - The numbers Renault gave them were short of the real cooling required
2 - The car's efective cooling on track was less than expected
3 - Both of the above
