Good news.
*My cousin's fiance's brother's friend has said Ferrari power unit has half a pony power advantage compare to Mercedes power unit.
*Ferrari will upgrade the power unit with high quality material that will cut the power unit weight to half.
*Ferrari's engine consumption is very very low that 32.5 kilogram fuel is enough to complete grand prix like Singapore while pushing to the limit every lap.
*Engineers of other teams have found out that Ferrari's power unit reliability is super phenomenal that one power unit will be enough for entire season.

Must say, that must be my most hated saying of them all
It means anything goes, you can get an empty rumor started, without the slightest hint of reasoning. This saying, by itself, drops the made up rumor in to the plausible category, giving it weight, though it's complete made up nonsense.
Normally a team who build the car and the engine has a big advantage in the beginning of a season like this one BUT it turn to be a big big faillure how can it be possible to create a power unit with so many ers faillure , i cannot understand this 2 years for create a engine who cannot work properly with this lack of power .It s turn that the Engine ferrari is less powerfull than a renault engine!...oh dear Ferrari under a renault :-S.They knew after barhain.Montezemolo last speach give us some info about we need to support blabla.Come on , they put so much money and it turn to be one of the Biggest faillure from all time.I wanna cry when i read everywhere that Ferrari is turning to be a joke this year.We have the 2 best driver of the decate with kimi and fernando and the team give them a dog.it s killing me.
" Raikkonen: Ferrari is better than it looks" I'll stick with that, until proven otherwise![]()
Ww all want a poioum finish for sure. Driver plus car gets a podium . We for sure got the drivers. I wish us a pole position this time around. That to me is the true sign the car developement is moving foward. Then of course a podium would do just right. All those 2013 podiums for Red Bull was proof their car was the best. Even with Vettel driving.
just watching the F1 show on sky. graeme lowdon is the guest on the show and he said that marussia were not able to show their race pace in australia because they had to turn their engines down.
when ted kravitz asked him why, he did not want to give an answer... very interesting stuff!
Yeah saw it as well, also they asked him about moving to a leading team, Ted Kravitz said about taking over from Stefano at Ferrari, as usual sky presenters trying to stir up s--t, reply from Graham Lowdon no chance Stefano is great guy doing a great job, and he meant it as well.
I know this is going to angry the Tifosi a lot,but i just cant control my emotions and definitely not my anger..
Ferrari suck BIG TIME..>!!!
Again a new year with that new promises by Ferrari about title and come the 1st race the same old "Stay Calm" nonesense..
Let me share my thoughts on some the points below:
All in all,the only thing I want is Ferrari to win and dominate but i am just tired of watching them fail over and over again..Lack of Track Utitilization:
Ferrari keep on bashing about lack of inseason testing, but what did they do come FP2 and especially FP3..nothing..During FP3 they waited for almost 20 mins to get going and when they did they only did quali type runs..Shouldn't they have used the time to try and help Kimi with his issues.
Even Mercedes, the team that is most advanced did more laps in each session than Ferrari.
Good in Aero..??
Yes the Ferrari is good in high speed and was also ok in S3 in Oz,but these Aero on the car are quite basic and will get more advanced as the teams get o grips with engine and ERS. Once the Aero development goes into advanced stages,i am sure Ferrari are going to suffer again as history reminds us.
In 2010,we had a good aero at start but later we fell behind
In 2011,we could never master the blown diffuser
in 2012,we could only develop our aero till Canada race, later we never introduced updates to the rear of the car
In 2013,good car at start but failed later when others developed
Great Pitstops
This is the only place where Ferrari are good, but again if you have the fastest car then you can afford to loose a 1 or 2 in pitstop..
Strategic Mistakes
In Q1,all teams knew that it was going to rain, still yet Ferrari drivers were the last one on track(which was the most stupid decision)and then when Alonso was on course to improve significantly on the hard tires, they called him in for soft tires.
Look at how Mercedes played their strategy, they sent both their drivers out first and both Mercedes drivers completed 2 timed laps before the Ferrari drivers even began theirs.
Then in the race,Undercutting Alonso would have given him 3rd place, even if they had Alo a lap after Button,he would have had a chance, but they went defensive which really cost them..
Taking Positives from Hamiltons or Vettel's DNF
For all those who consider that atleast we scroed some points while Ham and Vet didnt..To me there's nothing to take positive from it..
Even if Hamilton has 0 pts,if he wins the 2nd race and Alonso comes 4th,then also Hamilton would lead Alonso by 1 point..
As for Vettel, its quite clear now that RB do have an pace advantage over Ferrari,so slowly but surely they can also overtake Ferrari in points.
Progressing through the Season
Now its quite clear that every team has to play catchup to Mercedes, but an overview on their plans
Williams: We can be the second best team and i think they are the second best
Mclaren: We are going to gain 0.5s in Malaysia and by Barcelona we expect to catch Mercedes.
Redbull: More to come from the car and once we solve the engine issue we will be at the front.
Lotus: After barcelona we can be a front running team.
Ferrari: Stay calm,we had problems blah blah blah.
To me this part is significant cause i never heard any firm voice form any Ferrari team personal that yes we can recover the issues and once done we will be on front running pace..Nothing all we heard from Kimi,Alo and SD is "Stay Calm".
Even James Allison said that Ferrari's performance was not acceptable..
and I am quite sure that Ferrari wont have any updates for Malaysia..
PowerUnits
Looking at the how the race went,i think i can agree that all Mercedes engine have an advantage except FI. Even Renault engine performed better than Ferrari,on this i am not judging to any conclusion but the fact that Alonso could not overtake a limping Hamilton is going to cause us some serious problems in Malaysia in the long straights.
Also we cant judge the thirstyness of the engine cause the race was reduced by a lap and SC..
I Will End My Career At Ferrari...
We can express our disappointment without having to say the team sucks. Saying something sucks is something we do during our teenage years, it's not a mature way to express our point.
Whatever we achieve today, or fail to achieve, is down to the current group of people in the team, but it doesn't reflect on the entire Ferrari team name, because Ferrari is more than the people currently in the team. If they fail this season, it doesn't mean the entire Ferrari fail.
Feel free to voice your opinion regarding the people currently administering the team or whatever weakness the team have at the moment, but there's no need to bash Ferrari.
ps: I'm sure everyone wants their favorite team to win again, but there can only be one winner each year. Supporting a team does include enduring periods when we do not win. Even Red Bull fans will have to endure it, as they may find out this year.
Our "CURRENT" team sucks...
Seriously what is up with the attitude police on here. Call a square a square. We have a long way to go to achieve the dominance that we are used too. This constant celebration of mediocrity is not going to achieve anything.
Supporting your team means a lot of things. one important one is not supporting a different team that is winning and another is stating that you are a Ferrari fan even if we are dead last. However it doesn't mean we throw a party just because we showed up on the field.
we're number one
Not trying to be a police here, but there's a difference between discussing the team performance's and simply insulting the team. I'm sure most people would agree that currently our performance is not up to par yet, no one is trying to deny that. Doesn't mean people should start insulting Ferrari because Ferrari itself is not just about our current season or recent years. There's a long history of success to Ferrari in motorsport that will never change despite of our recent performance, a few bad season doesn't make the team suck in any way.
We can save the party for when we win again, but as fans, we should still support the team during these tough times rather than showing up with pitchforks and torches.
While I agree there are plenty on fair weather fans here, there are also plenty of pessimistic fans here. Yes you are right that there are fans that insult the team and its not right. But different people express frustration in different ways. Its frustrating that you are not allowed to say a negative word about Ferrari befor the optimists on here jump your case. I will continue to support Ferrari if they "suck" or not. But from what is visible right now it seems like they have forgotten how to win. While Ferrari's history might be great it doesn't count for anything for the next race. If we don't figure it out we will continue to be a mid-pack team. If Ferrari and us fans are satisfied with that then its unfortunate.
Williams and Lotus have strong histories behind them but look where they are now. We want to win and as die hard Ferrari fans I dont want another race to go by with us racing for the last podium spot but I want the WIN.
we're number one
All this after 1 race..wow...What thread is this again?
Any news on the development front.....? It's been real quiet after the oz gp. According to the f1 website its gonna rain on all three days.

Ferrari: no purges, more responsibility
Henry Gualtieri more involved in the engine department of Maromorini and Mariz. That's where you have to get your hands ...
March 24, 2014 11:37 Ferrari: no purges, more responsibility
Approximately sixty horses to the same consumption . There are a hundred horses that idly in the winter, but the difference in power between the power unit and the Mercedes 059/3 Ferrari is irrespective of the FIA bug that prevented the car from the pressures of the Horse of use KERS in the first round of the Australian GP. And in Maranello have been trying to devise a plan of action that seeks to bridge the gap dall'invidiato PU106A that drives the Mercedes W05 as well hope to fight for the world would become daunting. PIU 'RESPONSIBILITY' FOR GUALTIERI No purge, it is clear but an immediate change of roles in the working group of the mechanics which is directed by Luca Marmorini. In Maranello have decided to give confidence to young engineers who are growing up in the court of Matthias Mariz, the deputy of the Tuscan coach. You should charge more responsibility Enrico Gualtieri, the head of the department of reliability, which is accompanied by Guide de Paola, the designer of the 059/3. Were revised roles in the area of hybrid engines and electronics. FERRARI DID purges "We have not taken any new technical, or we have removed some engineer. Rather, we have strengthened and reorganized as a strategic area of the engine so as to redistribute responsibilities more effectively, in order to secure a more rapid and coordinated. " In the Racing Division, therefore, there is a desire to react to the flop Melbourne would have been identified "shortcomings" of the F14 T and those technicians who respond to the technical director, James Allison are working very hard. SUBMISSION OF POWER UNIT We talked about fifty horses can be worth 4/5 km / h to speed trap or three tenths to half a second in lap times (depending on the characteristics of the track). In fact, the shortcomings of the Ferrari do not focus on a single issue, but relate to various aspects of the car and not just those of the power unit, on which are turned on for the first critics of the spotlight. BEYOND THE LIMITS OF WEIGHT AND TURBO BIG The powerplant (thermal V6 turbo Honeywell, ERS, electronics and batteries) does not have all the blame: the 059/3 pay too much weight (the limit of regulation would be 155 kg), seems to be overweight by about 13 kg, which from Bahrain will add another 3 kg to mount the metal arch to protect the turbine. The impeller would be quite large, with two separate entrances for each bank, coaxially, while the casing seems to be elliptical or oval. Maybe there are internal vanes to optimize the geometry of the gas (the floating palettes are prohibited), but of the three engine manufacturers seems the system more complex and cumbersome, but also the one with the most potential for development. REVIEW FROM THE COOLING The power unit is looking for efficiency: the chassis engineers have focused on narrow bellies and small radiators, but the choice made on the basis of aerodynamics you pay for in terms of cooling, a dozen of imaginary horses that are missing from the V6 Mercedes would leave for operating temperatures higher than necessary. To avoid compromising the reliability in Melbourne have been opened more air vents that have soiled the aerodynamic efficiency of the F14 T. To this we can add that the gear ratio 8-speed certified technicians Horse (the number of teeth gear remains fixed for the first half of the season and then you can change only once) did not fit the track at Albert Park, while it should be more fitting in Sepang. CHANGE THE MANAGEMENT OF HYBRIDS? It is said that in ' eye of the storm Gone are the technicians who have launched strategies in the use of hybrid systems: Ferrari has worked extensively in the filling hole of the turbo with the MGU-K during acceleration and has perhaps neglected to use it can do with the MGU-H at full speed. Slightly reducing the speed of the V6 Turbo, in fact, you can recharge the electric motor and "shoot" the energy obtained instantly nell'MGU-K, without storing it in the battery: this boost can exceed 33 seconds of use Regulation allows the ride. Since also improve the operation of the brake-by-wire system that undermines especially Kimi Raikkonen. In short, the racing department there is a lot of irons in the fire: the real F14 T will be seen only later, but already in Sepang there should be a reversal of the trend ...

CAVALLINO RAMPANTE PER SEMPRE
This translation is really hard to read. And, it is also completely different than the one immediately above posted by Rob, which is a different article.

The Ferrari has been silent. He preferred the silence after the figure barbini remedied by F14 T at the Australia Gp only fifth at the finish line with Fernando Alonso (fourth after the exclusion of Daniel Ricciardo), but there is a resounding backstory that has heavily influenced the outcome of the tender opening the 2014 World Cup. If it were not already enough the flowgate to influence the long-awaited Gp's new era turbo, here is exploding just another case that brings to light OmniCorse.it: what is the reason for which the two Ferrari immediately after the start in Melbourne could not have electrical power in the early laps of the race?
NO KERS FOR FIA'S FAULT?Live on TV we were told that there had been a problem on F14 T, but no one has ever admitted that the problem is not depended on an electronic problem, but it seems to be a "bug" of the FIA. As you will know, the regulation prohibits you use the MGU-K before the 100 km/h: Tap to the men of International Federation remove the flag that disables the launch condition and allows the car to take advantage of the full power of the power unit.
FERRARI ENGINES REMAINED IN HOW TO LAUCH In Melbourne, on the other hand, all single-seater powered by V6 Turbo 3 059/Ferrari would remain in the starting mode: in addition to Fernando Alonso and Kimi Raikkonen would have experienced the same trouble also Sauber drivers (Adrian Sutil and Esteban Gutierrez) and the two conductors of Marussia (Jules Bianchi and Max Chilton). The latter two were pilots accused as well as other problems that had forced them to take from the pit lane.
PENALIZED FERRARI, SAUBER AND MARUSSIA Nearly a third of the starting grid, then, would not have been able to express its potential in the early rounds: it is clear there has been no fraud, but it is a serious fact not know absolutely nothing! Steps that Ferrari have decided not to enact a whimper after a run that got the results that pony fans expected, but surprised the silence of the International Federation that at least had to submit an apology to motorized 059/3 teams. To err is human, to pretend nothing no. Because they feed the voices of those who say that the world can be managed. Unacceptable! Can you imagine if the same problem that slowed the F14 T happened to Red Bull Racing? Would match a tough media campaign against the control systems of the International Federation.
In the EARLY LAPS were MISSING 120 KW Activation of hybrid systems would have taken place with guilty delay, but electric motors do not have started work right away because the plant had gone into "protection" and to turn it back on certain procedures were required by the pilot. We can say that the Ferrari of Fernando Alonso began marching to duty just after the first pit stop: Spanish, therefore, had to give up about 120 Kw to 33 "around. An enormity in a crucial moment of the race as the way, when you try to retrieve the locations with a stinging shot.
WITH RAIKKONEN NOT WORKING ALSO THE DRS Kimi Raikkonen also had the aggravating circumstance that on his T wasn't usable F14 nor the DRS that Finnish has paid a double duty in a race in which he had more than one occasion to use the mobile wing to complete a pass. In this case, the FIA said it will introduce a change in electronic control system of the mobile wing at Sepang because the problem will not recur.
TOO MANY PROBLEMS TO DEBUT FOR THE FIA We take note, but have been too many things by the FIA that did not work properly in Gp of Australia: in addition to the problems with the flowmeter in instant consumption of fuel (which at 10,500 rpm must never exceed 100 kg/h) came to light electronic bugs that have inhibited the KERS and the mobile wing.
ALONSO COULD POINT TO THE PODIUM? Fernando Alonso in Melbourne did not have the pace to challenge Mercedes W05, but probably would have been able to fight for a place on the podium that was then the target of the prancing horse team. The F14 T is certainly not the most competitive racing in the Circus and the power-unit 3/059 is definitely not the most powerful engine, but in the light of what we're bringing to the fore on OmniCorse.it suffered an objective damage, just like his team.
ELECTRONIC BUG It was a procedure that didn't work? The FIA will have to give explanations: there are responsibilities? Because Ferrari has been silent? The flowgate was not enough or lack of show for the few overtaking and the roar of the engines shortly. Now emerges an opacity that threatens to undermine the credibility of Formula 1 in the year in which you want to focus on innovation to be transferred from racing to the serial product.
THERE IS NO NEED OF CREDIBILITY You can't keep stuck to TV fans who find it difficult to understand a Formula 1 too difficult to learn, imagine what might happen if it were to emerge that the Circus could turn into a kind of wrestling. The houses would leave the disputed and fans would dismiss as unrecoverable. And on these issues there is very little joke ...
I always laugh when i read the translations done by google translation website. You almost need another translation from google english to oxford english!![]()
This situation is truly embarrassing. Here's to hoping for a major improvement this weekend.
Forza Ferrari
"And regardless of what else you put on, wear love. It's your basic, all-purpose garment. Never be without it."
I want to know who at Ferrari gets to say at qualifying, ok send the cars out there ready or send them out, that's the best we can do. Do they ever as of lately believe their sending a pole setting car out to qualify and if not, why? Merc better equipped than Ferrari? Never IMO. I still say kicking Massa out was underdeveloping. Drivers don't build the cars.
