New team clothes are released. I don't understand why they are trying to make it "more complex" each time..
“The Ferrari is a dream - people dream of owning this special vehicle and for most people it will remain a dream apart from for those lucky few.” ~ Enzo Ferrari
The reason why it looked like that is due to the rules. Without the rules, there will be no such hideous design. Aerodynamic has a certain beauty to it. Take away all the rules, the cars will actually be beautiful and fast.
A good example would be the Red Bull's prototype for Gran Turismo video games. No weird bumps or vulgar looking nose, the car looks amazing.
Unless they start relaxing the rules, tighter rules will only bring uglier design as we have to compromise certain aspect to gain more elsewhere.
dont kid your self looks are every thing remember 1996 micheals first Ferrari had to be one of the ugliest Ferraris with the high cockpit sides. dumb ass fia knew they made a catastrophic mistake with this nose rule they tried to change it and the teams all said they were to far along with there designs so prepare your self.try putting a trans am nose on a italia not a pretty sight
Exactly, now you need even more aerodynamic efficiency, and finding downforce is each year more difficult than the year before, thats why our wind tunnel was pretty ok in 2004 and quite useless in 2012,aerodynamics is much, much more complicated today.
P.S. the diffuser looks to me to be from the 2005 regulations, maybe it is the f2004m.
1-) As of now it seems Ferrari will be the only power unit to use Magneti Marelli fuel injectors. It seems other teams have chosen to go with Bosch. Teams have a choice between one or the other. Rumors in the paddock are that Magneti Marelli are already injecting fuel at 500 bar while Bosch is working to get to this limit. Teams must decide on the injectors by Feb 28th.
2-) Piola via AMuS says Ferrari to retain front pull rod suspension

I think it's for sure better than last year's one.

Raikkonen starts Ferrari simulator work ahead of F1 2014 campaign
Kimi Raikkonen has started simulator work ahead of his return to Ferrari for the 2014 Formula 1 season.
The Finn, who won the 2007 world championship for the Scuderia, is now in his first week working at Ferrari since agreeing to return.
Ferrari has confirmed Raikkonen arrived at Maranello this morning and will spend three days working with the engineers and running in the simulator.
"It's good to be back at work," said Raikkonen.
"I began by getting used to all the new systems and procedures that we will use this year.
"From this point of view, the simulator is really very useful."
Raikkonen missed the final two races of the 2013 season in order to have back surgery.
He first visited Maranello the week before Christmas, and will stay until Wednesday on his latest visit.
But despite the fact he has not driven for Ferrari since the end of 2009 and the major rule changes for this season, Raikkonen insists his workload is not too intense.
"It's true there's lots to do but the workload is not much different to what it was in the past," said Raikkonen.
"For me, these days in Maranello are also an opportunity to be with the team and spend a bit more time with my many friends here."

Seems there is a big confused silence from certain members on Kimi saying he has many friends at Maranello.
I like those!
Now the discussion is about who has friends? I hate off season....
Mabey the friends can all have numbers too...
We should have a different thread called 'Friends'. This one is serving its title well so far. Let's keep it that way.

"And regardless of what else you put on, wear love. It's your basic, all-purpose garment. Never be without it."
New team wear looks nice but they should have put the white sleeves on the left hand side rather than the right hand side. Would hardly make a difference in how it looks but it can affect functionality. Most people are right handed so the white sleeved side will get dirtier. This may or may not affect one's ability to work if they have to be careful about not putting any stains on it. I know when I wear white I'm a little more careful and other people are like that too. I think the reasoning is because of santander. Having a white sleeve on the right sleeve creates contrast so the viewer gets caught by that and what do we have right next to it - santander of course! Personally, I don't like this trend of increasing influence on design dictated by the sponsors.
Alonso says drivers must always obey team orders

Fernando Alonso with Felipe Massa after the 2010 German GP
Ferrari driver Fernando Alonso says drivers are obliged to follow team orders when they are commanded from the pit gantry.
Alonso was asked by a young journalist if “you have ever received a team order you did not responded to?”
Alonso replied, “No. Normally when the team says something you must obey, because they have all the information and [they] know what’s going on.”
“You can ask them on the radio why you have to do something [which they have requested] to try and understand the order, but you must always obey,” added the Spaniard.
Famously at the 2010 German GP Alonso’s teammate at the time, Felipe Massa, was informed by his engineer, “Fernando is faster than you. Can you confirm you understood that message?”
This was a thinly veiled team order for Massa to allow Alonso to get past, which the Brazilian did much to his consternation.
In 2014 Kimi Raikkonen rejoins Ferrari as teammate to Alonso. (Apex)
There is still a rumor that Merc will be the team to beat. I can not see why?
Previously Merc was among the earlier team to show off their V6 engine design and sound, suddenly the media are saying how their engine is good. No idea why.
Engine manufacturer may have better advantage in terms of making a complete car so perhaps Merc may be the fastest Merc powered car, but I see no reason (yet) why they should be faster than the likes of Ferrari or Red Bull
