    Massive updates for Spain: http://nextgen-auto.com/Nouveau-nez-...4-T,75751.html

    From Google Translate

The F14 will sport T to start a new nose, taller and shorter than the current one, in the style used by Mercedes from China. He will be accompanied by a new front wing but also a flat bottom and a rear spoiler revised accordingly: with new nose more air pass under the car and the ground effect will be increased.

Pontoons F14 T also undergo a diet, Ferrari have developed new smaller radiators, installed more longitudinal, giving less aerodynamic drag and therefore more speed.

The bonnet also be tightened around the gearbox.

Question engine, it is referred to a new mapping to release 10 to 15 additional horsepower.

And I can barely wait to see what they've done, pretty excited as I think the season turns on how the car is at Catalunya. I think we may have reached the fork in the road. I guess I'm too stubborn to concede the season to the Mercs just yet!

That story is too good to be a real. All my hopes are that the first time that kind of news are true

true story. everything is possible, we'll have to wait for FP1 to see what of these features will be on the car. I don't buy this rumours since 2011 when everyone said that the car will be in Australia different much more to the car on testing. Guess what, car was pretty much the same. 2012 another example.

This is the kind of development we want to hear, let's just hope it works as expected and that we can take the fight to Merc and Red Bull, we could be right up there especially if we can finally improve the quali performance.

If these improvements are true and if there will be some additional ones I just hope we'll gain at leat 0.700sec per lap
if we want to fight with RB. We have some advantage in track like China, Monteral, Monza etc but we
need more performance in other tracks.

0.700s would be massive, anything around 0.500s would be eye opening & give me more hope than I've had for the season (well, more than the realist in me allows, not always more than I might have written on this forum ). Even that realist in me still hopes for a race with huge gains to show we are still "in the hunt"!

    Only (ugh!) 2 more weeks!

Well I am just thinking loudly, if we are now behind RB 3-4tens of a second, we need to gain at least 0.7 sec to compete with them because they will bring improvements too. Just my 2cents.

I would not be surprise if we did, since it's not that huge of a change from what we already have now.

But it will not be the solution to our lack of performance to the Merc IMO. I think a huge part of the difference is due to the PU, so that's where we have to improve if we want to beat the Merc.... Just IMO

    Read from another forum.

Interview to Mike Evans (Formula One Fuels Project Leader from Shell).

Q: What exactly do we think is going on with the competitive 1-1.2 seconds advantage, Mercedes split turbo, and where is Ferrari on this deal and what do we think Ferrari is struggling with?

A: It's being in everything together, I think. Ferrari is making big advances in the last races to be more competitive. Mercedes has done a really good job. Everything is well engineered and well packaged. They've got the engine which is efficient, they've packaged it all and made the car smaller and reduce the size of the radiators, and some aspects like that. This improves the whole package and the whole performance. But obviously Ferrari is catching on quickly. There is a big pressure on us to help them on the fuel side. Fuels are now more and more important. More so than they have been in the last 20 or 30 years...

Q: Splitting the turbo as Mercedes does, seems like a brilliant idea?

A: My understanding is that Ferrari's turbo and system are very similar to the Mercedes. I must admit I don't know that from gospel, but that's the word I've had. It is a similar type of approach. Whether it has been developed to the same degree or not, I am not sure, unfortunately.

Q: Is that worth a 1 second, second and an half?

A: No I don't think so. I think is the whole packaging together.

He also says they have a new fuel coming for Spain (if they can get it on time).

that is true, but this years al different regs than before, the cars this year have more space to develop and with smaller updates on engines or bateries with some aero packages can give much more than previous years. I hope really that we can gain much more than mercedes from updates in Spain

Just a note: Mercedes are more than 1.5 sec faster than us. So,0,7 secs are just a small step.

That would be my guess too, especially when hamilton tends to lock his front wheels a lot.

If you take our situation 0.7 would be massive for us and I was thinking about RB more then Merc, I don't think so we can do aynthing to them this year...

I think that the idea in the team might be, right now, what Pat Fry expressed before China. Something like " forget Mercedes by now and let's focus on being the second best team. If we get that, the championship may be out of reach, but Ferrari will, at least, clinch some victory in case Mercedes makes some mistake ". The important is being out there ready in case the opportunity arises. Anyway, will see what happens in Catalunya in lesss than two weeks.

I think that goal (2nd best) was accomplished in China based on our podium and now we are taking the fight to Merc.

I know we're all hungry for news of updates for Spain but surely it's best to keep things under wraps for as long as possible. It's encouraging to speculate but let's see what surprises might be in store and hope that they work. We don't want to give away any secrets!

It's not. RB is still faster than us, it was just Alonso's special.

I agree and China was faster track, in those track we will have advantage but on less ones like Barcelona, Monaco, etc....
In pace race we are still behind RB and because of that I think if we gain that advantage we will be ahead or in worst case same...

Same as saying RedBull are not better than Ferrari it is just Newey? These individuals are part of the team so anything they do is counted as part of a teams overall stature in my book.
