Ferrari could have gotten Hulk easily if we wanted him, he was and still is looking for a drive. But ultimately Kimi was the choice.

I agree totally with you above statement. Especially this part: "Ferrari have a long history of being mediocre amongst flashes of brilliance."
For what I remember those mediocre periods tends to be long and hopeless...

Why do you want to get rid of Kimi so soon?

Let us just hope nobody takes his front wing or part thereof off at the start tomorrow.

    From Pedro:
The team blames the heat, rear tyres overheating. Fernando wants more top speed and less downforce for tomorrow, the whole race will be on traffic. Lower temperature will help later.

Guess we went for top speed. Should really help in race.

EDIT. Sorry everyone... I should probably take a break. See ya sometime in the future.

But if you look at F1 in general, all of the teams go thru this. There are flashes of brilliance for all or most of them.

    Fernando Alonso ‏@alo_oficial 1h
Still a tough weekend for us, but we have to think positive and use the extra new tires to attack in the race! Still confident!

He said in one post-qualifying interview that he will start on the softer tyre, which makes sense considering that Ferrari's pace on the white tyre wasn't good in any of the sessions.

Ferrari fans are disgruntled everywhere, not only here, @Greig, save perhaps on the philosophy forums

My biggest disappointment is a certain sense of apathy that seems to have pervaded the team, I watched FP3 this morning and the cars remained in the garage for almost half of the session, why wouldn't we be using this precious time to try new parts I keep asking?

From what the driver were saying, tires seams to last longer than in India, so I wounder if Alonso is going to try one stop strategy!
I mean, he have a new set of soft and hard tires.

Mr. Alonso is working very hard to destroy his bonus on my side ... I'm that far that I think we should start with Hulkenberg and Kimi next year ...
"If I was driving for Red Bull [from 2008] probably I would have more championships, but because they were dominating between 2010 and 2014 probably I would never have driven for Ferrari. I am very happy and very proud to drive for Ferrari, all my time there.

Thank goodness Ferrari is getting Kimi next year, Alonso is a great driver but way too moody. Kimi is a no nonsense driver who will go about the business of driving and not let is emotions rule him.

this is a joke...how is he moody, have you just seen his tweet...he is the one who keeps spirits upp, he is the one who keeps the team to have some motivation due to his brilliance fighting in a dog of a car! He is more than a driver...and im a massa fan!!

Well yes, Fernando is team leader. Not the boss, but one who does motivate with more than driving.

    2013 Abu Dhabi: Qualifying thread

Alonso doesn't deserve what is happening. I'm a fan of him of course. I will make my point at the end of Ferrari's poor season.

What do you expect? That he goes into 'god mode' every single weekend?

None. He's on a 4 stop strategy. 2nd stop he's scheduled for a stuck right rear wheel nut... 3rd stop front wing adjustment tool gets stuck and on 4th stop rear jack man falls asleep(if needed).

    Awful!

Ferrari best financed team yet third or fourth best car.

Perhaps ALO could drive the last two GPs in RAI's Lotus and score some good points….

    Complete and utter shambles.
    Trying to be less angry..
