This was almost a copy&paste of nickname Anonsomaniacs bias previous post. I just changed name Kimi to Alonso in my response to Alonsomaniac and added the fact Kimi is still latest Ferrari wdc.

If I understand Your post correctly, you say I am a Ferrari supporter, if I share Your view on driver talent Alonso has. Is that Your point? Well let me tell You something. I think Ferrari is the team I respect and admire most off all out there. What comes to driver preference mine is different from Yours, but that has directly nothing to do with with my view off the team. Happy?

Alonsomaniac is a Netherlands-based forum member which joined this forum by mid 2009; when he says "we Ferrarifans" I tend to give that self-definition more credit than when I see somebody with your specific forum profile making the same claim. Hence my doubts about its accuracy in your case. That, and the fact that you seem to be very keen on attacking one of the team drivers.

As for you being a Ferrari supporter if you share my view on driver talents, you should know, like everybody else in this forum does, that I have always acknowledged that despite deeply respecting the red team I am not a tifosa, but a die-hard Renault supporter (the old Renault, not this Genii invention). I have always felt very welcomed here by all the tifosi, and of course over the last years we have shared the same interests; still, I would would consider it disrespectful towards true tifosi to pose as one of them.

Die hard Renault supporter...the old one. Yuo mean the one Alonso was driving under Briatore management...and Alonsomaniac joining this Forum mid 2009...timing fits perfectly Alonso announcement to Ferrari. So what You are telling me is that both of You are hard core Alonso fans. Tell You something. I think Alonso is excellent driver and done a very good job at Ferrari and Renault. Still it is not equal issue to be Alonso supporter and Ferrari supporter, because there is difference between a team and individual driver. Drivers come and go...same thing goes for supporters...only team remains.

I believe I have exactly the same right as You, Alonsomaniac or anybody else around here to call myself a Ferrarifan with a red cap on my head if I like. Big difference between You and me is driver preference. I happen to think Alonso is excellent, almost as good as my preference, that is Kimi. Donīt get up set, because it is my opinion...and You are naturally entitled to Yours.

One thing is bothering me on this forum. When I joined a while ago, I read the forum rules and did accept those. Here inside the forum there seems to be some posters, thinking they can dictate content and judge other posters opinions, especially new comers. I would like to point out, this is a official Ferrari F1 site...or did I miss something?

All the picking, down grading and insulting of Kimi here, have up set me and I must really say, I cannot believe it is opinion of true Ferrari fans, but disorientated and frustrated Alonso fans.

Yes, I mean the Renault team for which Alonso was driving under Briatore; but also the one that started participating in F1 in the late 70s introducing the turbo engines with their "yellow teapot"; the one that let a certain Alain Prost grow as a driver in the early 80s; the one that turned into a pure engine producer towards the end of that decade, becoming one of the most successful ever in terms of WDCs and WCCs won through their partnership with Williams.

Now, all of the above may be news for you, but that is the team I support(ed). Apart from that, I am an Alonso fan, and proud to be so. But as I said above, I never dared to call myself a Ferrari fan in this forum, and even less so to speak on behalf of the tifosi as you did in your post. I could not care less about your opinions, in the sense that you are more than welcome to support whoever you want. But as stated in my initial post, your profile and comments make me think that your statement that you are a Ferrari fan is inaccurate. I think that it is far more likely you are a Raikkonen fan who has turned to Ferrari now that the driver you support has joined the team - which is of course absolutely fine, but let's not pretend that we are what we are not.

PS By the way, that Alonso would drive for Ferrari in 2010 was announced in September 2009. So no, Alonsomaniac's date of joining the forum does not "fit perfectly" with such announcement.

Well, it was widely known Alonsoīs Ferrari pre-agreement was signed in Barcelona may 2009, announcement was released later on. But let us not wrestle in semantics.

Those early days back in the seventies and beginning of eighties I was actually supporting Nico Rosbergs father Keke, due to my origin. Keke won his wdc without turbo engine. However, I recognized early the talent of Prost and the power of Renault engine technology that culminated in the Williams glorious (first)winning era. It reminds me of Ferrari dominance in the beginning of this millenium and now the present Red Bull one. By analyzing the key components of success one can obviously find a pattern. One of those has been Renault engineering. Got Your point. Now it is Ferrari's turn to close the circle. Ingredients for success are gathered.

Over the decades I have been following Ferrari with great admiration. Without Ferrari...there is no F1. So it is more or less up to You how You want to define what You think of me or my supporting relation to Ferrari. I dont care:). I know where I am standing.

I am a tad uncomfortable with people basing other people's right to be here, simply on the driver that they support or, even worse, the nation of their birth. It just isn't right, number one, and really goes against the spirit of TSN, number 2.

I am a tifoso of Ferrari because I am Italian by blood. It would be a tad hypocritical of me to call out a Finn because he supports a Finn (or a Spaniard because he supports a Spaniard, for that matter).

As long as a Kimi fan is not a troll, and shows respect to le rosse, I am completely fine with them, TBH. Nothing wrong with friendly rivalry between Ferrari driver fans. Not saying that I understand it, mind you. I don't care who is driving the Ferrari that wins the WDC in 2014. Honestly. I will cheer just as loud, whichever Ferrari driver wins.

Now, lets stop calling people's Ferrari fandom into question based solely on their nationality, shall we?

Hi... i'm still very new in this forum. I apologise if what i'm sharing here will be hurm to anyone here or its look like that i'm just posting something lame. i just dont want to be enemy to anyone...

I'm Vettel, Hamilton and Raikkonen fan but not Alonso fan. So to speak, i'm become Raikkonen first. And i also Mercedes fan. Ahhhh, maybe got Petronas as a one of the main sponsor there. Typical Malaysian i think. My F1 buddy is a Alonso Fanatic fan. We are sharing opinion and any info related to F1. Yeah.. sometimes, we do have an argurement but again we still smiling and no hard feeling. We also went to GP together with definitely contra colour and cheering for our fav driver. And came the announcement that Raikkonen is back at Maranello, we are so happy that finally we gonna be cheering in the same colour and can't wait for the new season to start.

So here, i hope Alonso and Raikkonen fan can be friend and cheering together in the name as the F1 FAN.

    ^^Just my 2 cent^^

*For the record, I agree that Alonso came in second despite the performance of the car, I just don't see why the title is a problem when that's what Alonso seemed to have meant with his statement...
It is unethical to quote someone with words they did not speak. The title is in first person, implying that those are Alonso's words. They aren't.

I'm saying this with as much objectivity as I can muster. I mean no harm whatsoever, just stating my opinion.

Alonso is soooooo going to beat Kimi next year!

This thread seems to have lost its way with all the nationalism and driver preference being discussed. TSN may not be an official Ferrari site (I accept it as near enough to being the real deal), and it was surely created to support our team and drivers and allow us to share opinions. It doesn't mean a free-for-all to insult each other or our team and drivers, just because of nationality or preference. Some people support drivers rather than teams, and I understand this because I'll be supporting a Brazilian in a Williams, but I would never give up my allegiance to Ferrari over everything else.

If this was before the last race of 2014 and our two drivers was battling it out for the WDC, then i would understand the bickering like little school children.

But until Fernando and Kimi actually race against each other in the same team for a whole year lets stop swinging and put the handbags away.
