Let's name the RBR car ***** then.

I will really enjoy it when Christian have to defend "Chucks" poor performance and Finger Boy's tantrums when they are struggling with a poor package this year.

Now that's a much better idea! I can already imagine the commentators on TV saying: "Looks like Vettel has stopped by the side of the track and *****'s on fire, again."

Don't mind what they name it so long as it is logical.

    I like :

    F146
    F166
    F146T
    F166T
    F2014
    F2014T

Any of these will do so long as the performance is there. This is a neat idea from Ferrari to get the fans to take part. Exactly why Ferrari is so special.

    The choices:

    F14 T
    F14 Maranello
    F14 Scuderia
    F166 Turbo
    F616

    http://2014f1car.ferrari.com/en/#choose

I hoped for F2014T. I have to say I'm a little bit disapointed about the choices and surpricingly few are what has been mentioned here

    Voted 3 x F14T and 2 x F14 Scuderia.. F2014 would have gotten all my votes

We already have production cars named "550 Maranello" and "430 Scuderia" so I voted for F166 Turbo, the most sensible and suitable choice out these options imo.

With 166 I can't help but think of Alfa 166. F14 Scuderia makes me think of this forum, the team and 430 so closer to home and F14 T is FIAT and as such humorostic and probably the name I will remember for years to come.

Well for me it make sense for a road car to have a complete name word as it would be more marketable rather than just a string of code that the public may not know what it meant.

But IMO F1 doesn't need that. I think F1 cars will be fine with a numbers and single letters, we don't need full word names. It could also help distinguish the F1 car name from the rest.

To be completely honest, I'm not really fond of any of those names. My favorite choice would've been F614T but it's not on there, unfortunately.

I think all Ferrari F1 cars should be named Fyear like F2014 to signify the most important car of the series that year. Other teams can have their MP4-49875 or RB07 or wkljsadlkjfmlas446467-whatever because nobody will care the next season. Ferraris will always be the baseline in future when you look at that season and the name should reflect that status.

I suggested few weeks ago name F14T6 cause it looks like FIAT !
One member didn't like the idea of link between FIAT and Ferrari, and told me to learn the history and then we will speak again! I said to him that we will speak when my idea becomes oficial Ferrari F1 car name! So, name F14T is currently on second place, with little percentage behind the leader!
I have to say now '' GOOO FIAT !!!'' :)
I hope everyone knows that i am kidding!
But i have to say again GOOO FIAT!!!!

I have just spent mine 5 votes on F14 T. At this moment F14 T and F166 TURBO are equal on 30%.

Well Ferrari is in FIAT "concern". As well as Alfa Romeo, Fiat itself, Lancia, Maserati, Iveco, Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep,... To say Ferrari has nothing to do with Fiat asks a great deal of ignorance...

no matter what name might win in the end the final name should have an ending "*" as wildcard ...

In the very beginning it is the star that represents hope ... and according to Lk2,7 the star we shepereds can follow ..
in the end we can put a W instead the wildcard which is for W ... WINNER, WDC and/or WCC ...

Much better than having a corny name for the car that people vote just because it has the word Turbo in it.
