    Kimi-LaFerrari: lift off!

Maranello, 12 February – As Stefano Domenicali mentioned this morning in the interview he gave to www.ferrari.com, Kimi Raikkonen is seen more and more often in Maranello, proof that he plans to get even more involved than in the past as he embarks on his second adventure with the Prancing Horse.

Today, Kimi’s schedule involved several meetings with the engineers to prepare the programme for the upcoming test sessions in Bahrain, as well as fine tuning his driving position in the cockpit of the F14 T.

This year’s race car was not the only Ferrari Kimi was keen to see close up and he ended the day having his first drive in a LaFerrari, the road car that represents the very essence of what makes the cars built in Maranello unique in the world. The Finn soon felt comfortable behind the wheel of the supercar, but there wasn’t enough time for him to test its performance on the Fiorano track. That will be for the next time, as Kimi feels ever more at home in Maranello!

Good to see Kimi working hard and be appreciated by the team. He really does seem motivated and put the past beside him. A perfect way to start things. It will be interesting to see how the situation unfolds with Alonso when there is no clear number 1.

As an Alonsofan I think there should be no nr1 at the start of the season. Let Fernando and Kimi decide who is the nr1.

There shouldn't be even talk about nr1 and 2 before half of the season and if scores are tight not even then. Let those champs fight fairly to the point when
it is absolutely necessary to intervene and prefer one over the other.

The question with Ferrari is are they still under the Jean Todt Ros Brrawn way of running the team. Start holding the #2 guy back from the very first race. What if the #1 guy should need a point at seasons end? " Let him pass! " Having false wins for a driver with team orders IMO is worse than the idea of changing the points around during the season as there trying to do. What's absolutely not necessary is preferential treatment of one driver over another. I was so sure Massa would be with us in 2014 just because no driver as good as him or better would take that #2 seat at Ferrari and have to" let him pass ."

Treating other as clear nr.2 from the beginning is not denied by the rules, but in my mind it would be wrong in so many ways, especially with-
two WDC drivers in the team.

And this is Kimis last shot for another title. I don't believe he would sign himself to play second to any team.

Can't agree more. It's going to be great racing this year , esp. watching two Ferraris going at it for 1st. place! The points will be adding up big time for the team not just for a #1 driver. We will have a "real" undisputed WDC to go along with our const. title.

Why the last shot? has he already announced his retirement after this season?

No, I didn't mean this year, I ment this Ferrari deal, as I think he will retire after that. OK, I don't know for sure, but I think he will..
And doesn't he have 2+1 with Ferrari atm?
