    Was shocked to hear that, he looked so healthy and attended almost all or all of Button's races. He's been a permanent figure in race weekends.

    He was a bit of a character in the garage during races and play to the camera when they would get a shot of him.

    RIP John.

    Let's not forget that if it weren't for the fathers many formula 1 drivers wouldn't be where they are today. They are absolutely pivotal from a very young age often role models, mentors, motivators. John was one of those dads that attended many races despite his age well into Jenson's career. Winning some races and championships is a remarkable feat but having your own father who has grown you into the driver and man you are today is another thing. The hard work that these fathers put in maybe overlooked - they had to work hard to get their son as far as they did often sacrificing other aspects of their lives just to live the dream.
